Here at Mindtribe, a part of Accenture Industry X.0., we’re a tightly integrated team of mechanical, electrical, and embedded software engineers that works seamlessly at every step of the product lifecycle to build our clients’ visions in the physical world. On any given day, we’re supporting simultaneously a fledgling project by providing the technical insights needed to intricately carve out product definition and requirements, a sophomore project by building iterative prototypes to validate a business case, and a more mature project that needs manufacturing support with first article validation and test tool development on the factory floor. 

 

There are three main areas of contribution for the Staff Electrical Engineer at Mindtribe:

 

First, you’ll be expected to get your hands dirty on client projects as an individual contributor by architecting electrical systems with multiple microcontrollers, capturing schematics and designing multi-layer rigid-flex PCBs in Altium, devising test plans and validating your designs, and readying your design for manufacturing when the time comes. You’re an engineer who lives and breathes electronics. Your favorite book is The Art of Electronics by Horowitz and Hill. You have multiple personal projects going at a time that you use PCBWay and JLCPCB for because you know they’re cheap and fast. You know the cutoff times for overnight shipping from local distributors. 

 

Second, we’re also looking for someone who can provide technical guidance and mentorship to the electrical engineering team based on their breadth of technical experience. You’ll be the main source of technical leadership and advice for all experience levels on our electrical engineering team; more junior engineers will look to you for guidance when routing a stripline antenna feed or creating an ICT test procedure. We’ll also rely on you to help monitor the technical success across all client projects by actively participating in reviews and flagging when a project needs more support.

 

Lastly, on the broader Mindtribe team, we’ll need your help leading the representation of the electrical engineering team in business development pursuits. This means you’ll participate in interactions with prospective clients, applying your breadth of technical experience to help them navigate the tradeoffs of product development. You also will be integral in helping the other engineering disciplines estimate scopes of work and draft proposals for programs that will start at design and end in manufacturing, including defining preliminary engineering schedules, budgets, and deliverables.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 7 years of experience prototyping, building, or manufacturing electronic devices

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Designed electrical systems and high-density, multilayer circuit boards of medium to high complexity for 3 or more products that have shipped in medium or high volumes

  • Led electrical engineering production efforts for at least one product of medium or high volume at domestic or overseas contract manufacturers

  • Written 2 or more scopes of work for the electrical engineering efforts of projects, including estimating budgets and schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Shepherded several products through regulatory and compliance testing or precertification: FCC intentional and unintentional radiators, PTCRB, and safety

  • Mentored electrical engineers through multiple stages of their careers

  • Product Development Consulting experience
