As the Cloud Operations Manager, you will lead a team tasked with providing support services for a local government agency’s cloud environment.

 

The Cloud Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the software development lifecycle, production support, governance, security, controls, and operations for the cloud environment.  You will provide hands-on expertise to assist with support and operation of the cloud infrastructure. Such responsibilities can include the design, creation, configuration, and delivery of cloud infrastructure environments.  

 

Additional responsibilities include:


Research, Integrate, and Document new cloud service provider features into existing client infrastructure.

 

Provide engineering recommendations.

 

Perform troubleshooting of operational issues.

 

Provide technology support related to delivering and modernizing customer environments using a variety of tools.

 

Define and implement Infrastructure-as-Code best practices/tools in areas such as continuous integration/continuous deployment, environment automation, configuration management.

 

Architecting and implementing highly-available systems and planning for disaster recovery.

Qualifications

Successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 7+ years of experience designing and/or implementing and/or engineering Infrastructure solutions
  • 3+ Cloud Service Provider environments (e.g. AWS, Azure)
  • Familiarity with FedRAMP Readiness Assessments and reviewing ATO packages for FedRAMP Cloud environments
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Government contracting experience preferred

  • Experience identifying and recommending Cloud security architecture solutions for IaaS or PaaS content security policies (CSP)

  • Excellent communications skills and ability to interact face-to-face with clients

  • Ability to document detailed designs for a Cloud infrastructure based on industry best practices in cloud computing for an IaaS or PaaS CSP environment

  • Must have at least one Cloud/Cloud Security Certification

  • Must have at least one recognized security professional certification such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, CEH, or GIAC


An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
