We are seeking an Internal Controls Specialist to help with the following:
• Execute design and testing of internal control processes in support of the Sarbanes-Oxley Program and DFARS Business Systems controls, including ITGC (Information Technology General Controls).
• Work to understand the controls, maintain test plans, create efficiencies in testing process, and escalate issues to the Internal Controls Team Lead that arise during testing.
• Identify and confirm the scope of testing with control owners and business leads, select records for testing, update testing documentation and records in the SarbOx tool, execute testing, monitor and evaluate testing results, ensure action items are created and implemented for ineffective instances (including re-testing).
• Maintain control documentation for team in the Master Control Catalog (MCC), internal SharePoint, and SarbOx tool.
• Liaise with control owners to ensure proper control environment is maintained.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree - Accounting, Finance or Business preferred
  • 3-4 years of accounting or finance experience
  • 1-2 years Internal Controls or Internal Audit experience, including experience with SOX 404 requirements
  • 1-2 years experience DFARS business systems
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word)
  • US Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Federal Government Contracting Industry experience
  • CPA, CIA or CISA
  • Experience working with SharePoint
An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
