Corporate Functions – Marketing & Communications

As part of this team, you’ll play a key role in helping Accenture execute its strategy. You’ll work with a diverse team of innovative marketing experts who focus on the following areas: global brand management and advertising; global events and sponsorships; internal communications; marketing research; media and industry analyst relations; corporate and financial communications; internet marketing; recruitment marketing; client-centric marketing; and industry, service line and geographic marketing campaigns.

We are looking for a stellar contributor to drive vertical marketing programs targeting the Software and Platforms Industry.  This industry is one of the most dynamic at Accenture as we help our Software and Platform clients accelerate the digital reinvention of work and life.  We do this through being the premier partner to help our clients differentiate, accelerate, scale and improve their digital experiences and business performance.
 
The selected individual will be responsible for developing global marketing programs to accelerate growth and to increase penetration in these segments and at clients like these.


While there will never be a typical day at Accenture, here’s a look at some of your responsibilities:

  • Team with your counterparts from centers of technology innovation from around the world -  creating marketing strategies and campaigns focusing on key software and platform industry segments
  • Work collaboratively with Accenture senior software and platforms industry leadership to support their business plans with impactful marketing programs
  • Implement digital marketing programs leveraging Accenture.com and social media to drive awareness and engagement
  • Create key messages and positioning for new research and thought leadership- then develop the marketing plan incorporating online, traditional media, direct mail, speaking opportunities, and targeted clients
  • Manage resources and third party service providers (e.g. approved agencies, designers, writers and media / PR agencies)
  • Participate in the development, execution, and marketing of new thought leadership, collateral and credentials
  • Maintain and grow our relationships with technology-related Professional Organizations
  • Develop, execute and measure marketing initiatives among several client accounts in North America
  • Drive broad marketing programs targeting our clients
  • Actively participate in local market initiatives designed to support Accenture culture and growth strategy
  • Plan and execute client events
  • Define and track metrics to assess effectiveness of marketing programs

Qualifications

YOUR EXPERIENCE: Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or other 4-year university degree.
  • Minimum of 8 years of marketing experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Communications, Technology or Media industries.

SET YOURSELF APART: Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or Technology-related field.
  • MBA or MS in Marketing.
  • Project management skills.
  • Deep planning and strategic skills.
  • Creativity and an innovative approach.
  • Understanding and experience in the Software and Platforms industry including familiarity with trends driving the industry.
  • Understanding of how to design and apply effective marketing programs for a given target market and situation.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills - the ability to present and communicate ideas clearly and persuasively at all levels to both internal and external audiences.
  • Proven ability to get things done both independently and in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Resourcefulness and tenacity, ability and willingness to progress with ambiguity.
  • Knowledge of and aptitude for digital marketing.
  • Budget management and financial reporting skills for project(s).

  • Ability to develop and apply creative, workable solutions to project-related issues
