Job Summary
The Operations Manager has the general responsibility of developing warehouse operations systems and plans by determining material handling and storage requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping. Meeting warehouse operations financial objectives by forecasting requirements; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions. The Operations Manager will be required to meet or exceed clients Service Level Agreements by training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies; procedures; maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with company regulations.

Key Responsibilities: 
Plan, direct, and implement warehouse operations and administrative support to meet the prescribed productivity and service goals
Plan daily, weekly and monthly outbound workload activities with a focus on high level manpower and resource planning
Accountable for key communications to internal supply chain stakeholders and external clients, vendors, and customers and the ability to resolve conflicts with staff and customers
Direct the operations of the 3PL warehouse management team to achieve prescribed objectives through sound communication programs
Operate in compliance with federal, state, and local statutes as well as OSHA regulations
Interact professionally with executives, employees, and client
Conduct staff meetings with 3PL to organize operational warehouse activities
Ensure the development of systems and procedures for operating and managing physical facilities, human resources, equipment and products in a profitable manner
Remain knowledgeable regarding changes in hardware and software technology
Develop suitable programs for maintaining company standards on sanitation, maintenance, security, housekeeping, quality and safety of personnel, equipment, and facilities
Develop Continuous Improvement culture
Ensure that the work area labor is lean during slow periods and that staff are re-assigned to other production areas when work load volumes are low
Ensure workload volume is prioritized and delegated to associates daily
Track, monitor, and report on area productivity rates. Maintain monthly reports showing volume of work produced, as well as quality issues found
Track accuracy/quality of work being produced in the work units by monitoring a daily sample
Manage the day to day functions of all outbound operations by reviewing yearly performance reviews aligned with operational metrics and reasonable expectations for departments 
Provide disciplinary actions and employee feedback as necessary to strengthen the organization and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures
Support and document all process related information in relation to the work area 
All associates, both regular and agency must have up to date training and emergency evacuation records
Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all equipment
Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and security for associates
Maintain clean, neat and orderly work areas. Conduct daily, weekly and monthly inspections of the work area
Must be able to work flexible shift hours and assist other work areas with their workload when needed
Requires flexibility and understanding that all of management may be required to perform duties outside their normal area of expertise to meet the mission and goals of Accenture

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 8 years of extensive experience in warehouse operations or production manufacturing
Minimum of 5 years of experience with Industry recognized Continuous Improvement/Lean programs
Minimum of 5 years of experience in planning and staffing, preferably in an environment with seasonal peaks and a high temporary labor workforce

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field required
Ability to resolve complex issues and problem solve effective
Develop effective relationships and provide leadership
Proficient and successful of both oral-written communication
Ability to prioritize, problem solve, and multi-tas
Possess professional/executive business demeanor
Experience with personal computers and material handling equipment
Must have five (5) years of experience in a warehouse environment, three (3) in a supervisory role
Certified fork lift operator, capable of training others
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 
Experience with planning out labor and program associated activities
Establish priorities and multi-tas
Possess professional business demeanor
Experience with personal computers and materials handling equipment
Previous experience in a Warehouse/Production/Manufacturing environment strongly recommended
Experience with RF, WMS, LMS, and PeopleSoft system is desired
