The Agile Practice Lead will work across the Portfolio to promote disciplined delivery via adoption of Lean-Agile values, principles, processes and engineering. Core responsibilities include:
 
Delivery Support
  • Jumpstart new Agile projects by helping client teams understand Agile, onboard key roles, execute Sprint Zero. Work closely with project leadership to assess organizational impediments, measure flow and develop strategies for continuously improving.
  • Support Release / Program Increment planning for projects.
  • Conduct Discovery initiatives to gauge project delivery maturity. Work with project leadership to develop improvement roadmaps.
  • Coach, mentor and support account-level agile coaches and delivery leads.
  • Support the staffing projects for Agile practitioners including candidates screening / skills interviews
  • Provide short-term support for the kickoff / initiation of new projects (Sprint Zero)
Sales Enablement
  • Play an active role in supporting business development and proposal efforts for Agile opportunities across all accounts. 
  • Support Stage 0 efforts including client-facing BD, shaping discussions and pre-rfp solutioning.
  • Actively engage in and support the B&P with proposal risk assessments, solutioning, color reviews and access to past proposals and references.
Education
  • Provide accredited training to project teams and clients via ICAgile and Scaled Agile (SAFe) curricula.
  • Promote a continuous learning culture throughout the Sector.
Thought Leadership
  • Collaborate with the AFS Agile Institute, Accenture LLP, SolutionsIQ and the industry as a whole to promote local adoption of our corporate capabilities, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years software development experience with at least three years supporting a Federal customer
  • 4+ years in a Lean-Agile Coaching role supporting multiple projects, programs or product teams
  • Deep understanding of Lean-Agile principles, practices and frameworks including: Scrum, Kanban, XP and SAFe
  • Extensive knowledge of technical software engineering practices (e.g. – BDD, TDD, continuous integration, continuous delivery, pair programming)
  • Experience leading an organizational change effort in support of a shift to Lean-Agile
  • Familiarity with the Federal contracting process and experience supporting a proposal effort
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills in a very senior client-facing context
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A passion for cultivating high-performing teams and delivering value
  • Bachelor's degree
Professional Certifications
  • Required: SAFe Program Consultant (SPC)
Minimum one of the following certifications:
  • ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP) or…
  • ICAgile Certified Expert in Agile Coaching (ICE-AC) or…
  • Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or…
  • Advanced Certified Scrum Master (A-CSM)

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • • Experience working for Safety and Citizen Services accounts (Education, State, Justice, Energy, Commerce) or across similar Federal agency environments, in sales or delivery capacity
