Job Description

 

The Service Delivery Operations Associate Manager performs moderate to complex accounting functions including fiscal interpretation and variance analysis requiring professional competency. Primary areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, general ledger, standard and special journal entries, financial statements and reports, account analysis and account reconciliations.

 

A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:

  • Reviews the operating statements for designated division and/or departments and prepares journal entries to facilitate timely and accurate financial statements
  • Prepares and presents monthly quantitative and qualitative analyses of assigned divisions and/or departments by the deadlines with particular emphasis on explanation of variances from budget and recent prior months
  • Reviews new agreements for assigned entities for accounting related items and recommends changes to current accounting processes
  • Assists entity management with questions relating to their monthly financial management reports and other questions
  • Prepare tax return schedules including local, state, and federal returns
  • Understands and prepares the proper elimination entries and procedures for consolidating entities
  • Maintains accounting records in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Technical Accounting Bulletins, system and regional financial policies and procedures and ensures compliance with federal, state and other regulatory agencies
  • Is responsible to understand and make sure all account reconciliations are prepared and approved on the appropriate basis and understand the systems and sub ledgers that send data to the accounts

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business field, i.e., Accounting/Finance
  • Minimum five years of experience in Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum five years of client interfacing relationship
 

Preferred Qualifications


  • CPA, CMA and/or relevant Graduate Degree
  • Healthcare or not-for-profit experience, or equivalent position specific experience (e.g., grants, foundations, corporate accounting, treasury)
  • Healthcare finance operations and project coordination experience 
  • Process documentation experience
  • Experience using Lawson or equivalent accounting system, solid knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting and analysis
  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of standard accounting procedures including journal entries, month end closings and account reconciliations
  • Proficient in use of computers, including intermediate to advanced Excel, basic Word, Outlook and Access skills
  • Experience in preparing and presenting financial variance reports, especially the ability to do presentations to groups
