Join our team that supports an IT organization for its Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) capability. PPBE activities include supporting the development of the strategic roadmap; establishment of investment priorities; planning resources across the Future Years Defense Program (FYDP) to meet IT requirements; development and defense of the Program Objectives Memorandum (POM) submission; development, implementation, and management of a fiscally balanced budget; and development of various financial reports. In this role, you will support planning activities to establish and document the strategic priorities and capabilities required to achieve the organization’s strategic objectives. Guide stakeholders to estimate and plan program resources in budgeting worksheets and develop associated POM issue papers and briefs. Support the Project Management Center of Excellence (PMCOE) capability by facilitating Project Review Boards, and implementing project management standards and best practices.

Key Duties:
  • Provides support in areas of budget, reporting, billing, and financial management for IT initiatives
  • Performs financial and business analyses; compiles, analyzes and records financial information and proactively identifies and communicates cost avoidance and cost reduction initiatives
  • Develops, performs and manages all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for IT projects/initiatives
  • Develops and maintains financial reports to clearly communicate actual results, forecasted performance, and variances to plan, forecast, and budget; understands and incorporates metrics into reports to highlight relevant trends and support fact-based business decisions
  • Communicates financial information and strategic issues in a clear manner; produces high quality presentations that communicate a clear message to senior management
  • Researches and evaluates strategic business opportunities

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance preferred
  • Six years Financial work experience
  • 2 years of Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution (PPBE) experience
  • Able to use Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/SUMIF functions
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask; can set priorities and follow a timeline
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
