Job Description

Accenture Interactive is looking for a User Experience Design Lead to join our growing UX/Experience Design team. You should demonstrate expertise in the user centered design process and be

capable leading both clients and coworkers in creating exceptional digital experiences. In your role you will lead the UX efforts on projects, run workshops with clients and internal teams, and drive collaboration on an interdisciplinary team of experts. You should have an interest in all things digital and inspire others with the depth of your knowledge, a natural curiosity in what makes users tick, and an established ability to translate business goals into intuitive digital experiences. Above all we are looking for individuals who enjoy solving problems across a broad range of agency engagements.

 

YOUR ROLE: User Experience Design Lead


While there will never be a typical day at MXM Accenture Interactive, we have highlighted a few of your exciting responsibilities.


UX Design 

  • Lead UX activities such as audits, user research, research analysis, ideation, sketching, usability testing, collaborative design sessions, workshops, and client presentations. 
  • Determine appropriate fidelity of UX deliverables based on project methodology, project phase, purpose of deliverables, client expectations, and budget or schedule constraints. 
  • Design, organize, and lead idea generation and client co-creation sessions. 
  • Direct and develop the creation of experience strategies, customer scenarios, journey maps, and personas. 

 

Management/Leadership 

  • Lead and balances multiple projects across one or more client relationships. 
  • Contribute to estimation, project planning, practice development, and new business pitches. Act as the UX leader on small to medium sized new business pitches. 
  • Lead experience design presentations with clients, articulating the rationale and/or strategy for the design decisions made regarding customer needs and business objectives. 
  • Be a trusted subject matter expert in one or more industries or verticals (retail, banking, etc.) that are crucial to our business. 
  • Train, supervise and mentor more junior staff.  Guide team members and direct reports through the completion of their assignments and deliverables. 
  • Plan, delegate, and oversees project work.  Ensure deadlines are met, and deliverables meet project requirements, client needs, and UX department quality expectations. 
  • Stay current with latest industry trends. Pioneer new methods, tools, and techniques and share them internally and with the greater User Experience Design community

Qualifications

YOUR EXPERIENCE: Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional UX or design-related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in interaction design, human computer interaction or industrial design related field, or equivalent training and/ or work experience


SET YOURSELF APART: Preferred Skills

  • Degree in interaction design, human-computer interaction, or industrial design preferred. Degree in a related field such as library science, graphic design, cognitive science, psychology, anthropology, computer science, or architecture considered.  
  • 10+ years of experience working on responsive web, mobile, or complex software projects. Comfort working in both agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience leading design teams on large projects engagements, preferably in another digital agency.  
  • Deep experience with the full range of UX artifacts and methodologies including user research, usability testing, information architecture, interaction design, prototyping, and design systems. 
  • Minimum 1 year of experience managing other designers. Success managing teams and projects. 
  • Proficiency in scoping and estimating UX tasks for a project and new business engagements.
  • Provides high quality, client-ready deliverables, on time and in scope. 
  • Can work independently, or collaboratively, and reaches out for assistance when needed. 
  • Can identify potential design, process, or delivery problems and takes appropriate action to prevent or minimize their impact. 
  • Extends familiarity with the digital production process to other areas such as strategy, content, analytics, visual design, or development, and establishes working relationships with those groups to ensure successful project outcomes. 
  • Develops successful working relationships with team members across disciplines, such as IT, Content, Strategy, and PMO. 
  • Accepts direction with an open mind. Comfortable giving and receiving design critiques.
