We are currently seeking a talented and highly motivated life sciences data architect to help lead development of our cloud-based research platform being co-developed with Merck & Co. and AWS.  The successful candidate will contribute as part of a team to the design, build, deployment and integration of computational methods to high dimensional biological and chemical data sources (including chemical structures, biologics / large molecules, screening data, and genomics).  In addition to significant experience in creating registration, management, search and analysis systems that include these data types, the position will require the candidate understand the art of drug discovery and have the capacity to work independently within a strong, global team environment and demonstrate leadership, creativity, and adaptability in their work.

  • Experience implementing chemical structure, genomics, and image database storage / search technology in applications / platforms;
  • Knowledge/Experience with Graph Databases (e.g. Neo4J) and NoSQL Database Models
  • Team Player, Excellent communicator, Ability to work in a global cross-functional team environment, Wants to help change how drug discovery is done and improve patient outcomes.
  • Preferred Skills:  Experience with AWS Technologies - S3, Amazon Neptune, QuickSight, etc.; Knowledge/Experience in designing Knowledge Graphs and with W3C’s RDF/SPARQL standards.
  • Ability to travel up to ~25%
