Accenture continues to grow inorganically via ventures and acquisitions (V&A), which target companies that provide services to or have developed assets for key market sectors. The CIO Organization helps ensure that all V&As are integrated into Accenture based on the requirements agreed upon by the IT and IS V&A Governance Board.
The Ventures and Acquisitions (V&A) ISIT PMI Lead is accountable for the successful planning and execution of IT and Information Security (IS) Post Merger Integration (PMI) activities across multiple concurrent acquisitions. The selected individual will be part of the global V&A ISIT PMI team reporting into the V&A ISIT Global Lead and will be required to work with both local & global acquisition contacts and Accenture teams to coordinate and drive required activities across the lifecycle of an acquisition, tracking and reporting progress to senior leadership. This role will require occasional travel, dependent on location(s) of the acquired organization.
  • Creation and ongoing management of the V&A ISIT PMI work plan, budget and project management artefacts across an acquisition.
  • Timely engagement of IS and IT workstreams to ensure assignment of resources to drive integration activities, including alignment with Acquisition IT Contacts to arrange deployment of SWAT teams to work alongside local contacts at acquisition locations.
  • Coordination across IS and IT workstreams to provide regular status reporting to senior V&A and IT and IS Leadership, with management of key risks, issues and decisions.
  • Act as a single point of contact between Business Sponsors, PMI workstream leads and local acquisition contacts representing the interests of Accenture’s IS and IT Organizations throughout the integration activities through to transition to operational teams.
  • Escalation point for key risks and decisions surfaced by IS and IT workstream representatives, including SWAT team members deployed locally to the acquisition.
  • Leading kick-off presentations, meetings and communication of key decisions and information regarding the acquisition to the necessary teams.
  • Ongoing identification and proposal of improvements to processes and working practices across the PMI IS and IT workstream.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Experience working within the Ventures and Acquisitions area preferable.
  • Excellent Stakeholder Management Coordination Skills.
  • Excellent Project Management Skills, with the ability to manage activities across multiple acquisitions concurrently.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and at multiple locations including Accenture, Clients, and remotely from home.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience with Information Security Technology
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience with technical and infrastructure skills HW and SW configuration
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience with Ventures & Acquisitions
Professional Skill Requirements:
  • Strong messaging technical experience.
  • Ability to work in geographically dispersed teams.
  • Ability to interface with management and client’s customers.
  • Ability to represent Accenture s global messaging environment to vendors, business partners, customers, and all Accenture business units.
  • Strong documentation and troubleshooting skills.
  • Skills Experience with PowerShell, Windows Server 2008 2012, SAN disk storage, cloud services particularly Office 365 Exchange Online Protection, data backup, business continuity, messaging routing, email archiving, unified messaging, message hygiene, mobile devices, data center operations, project planning, Dell server hardware, and Blackberry Enterprise Server.
  • Understanding of firewalls and load balancing.
  • College degree preferred.
Role Expectations:
  • Minimal travel less than 10%
  • Some nights and weekends to make changes during off hours.
  • Occasional off hour conference calls with colleagues in other time zones.
