Responsible for leading and driving growth of a Management Consulting practice for AFS. Work across a highly matrixed environment to solve our government clients’ most pressing challenges at the intersection of business, technology and function. This role requires a deep understanding of our the federal government landscape and an awareness of global, economic, technology and social trends, a continued focus on capability growth in a functional and mission oriented specialization of the Management Consulting practice and future leaders.
 
This role requires a combination of the following important skills and experiences:
  • Exceptional advisor and client relationship management skills, including strong oral communication skills, distinctive problem solving skills, and ability to architect solutions with clients real-time.
  • Strong practice building skills, including the capacity to identify and attract leading talent, delegate effectively, and inspire action amongst a large team.
The leader in this role will be specifically accountable for: 
Innovative Solutions:
  • Understand current and future client needs in the context of market dynamics and apply insights to recommend short and/or long-term value creation for the client.
  • Understand and educate our clients so that we are bringing the best of Accenture through introducing and selling cross business services solutions across the entire functional and industry Business Services space and develop (and often implement) plans for introducing these transformational solutions
  • Develop (and often Implement) plans for introducing new functional and mission-oriented solutions that help expand Accenture Federal’s footprint at government agency clients
  • Help Government Agencies maximize the use, impact and foundational value of technology as a lever in management consulting
  • Display a proven effectiveness in applying frameworks and structure to “ill structured” problems and issues and making the bold decisions needed to address the client's priority issues to ultimately bring the best of Accenture Federal to the client.
Personal Client Relationships and impact
  • Take personal responsibility to help lead and drive impact at one or two clients
  • Bring expertise to numerous clients outside of core client focus areas
Broader Client Impact
  • Deploy Operations team to make sure accounts across AFS have the appropriate process excellence and leadership support 
  • Collaborate with broader Accenture colleagues in the commercial sector to bring the best of Accenture to clients
  • Create business opportunities working with government agencies
  • Pursue and cultivate trusted advisor relationships at the senior levels of government to drive client value
Lead an MC practice and drive innovation
  • Develop management consulting leaders across important areas
  • Build strong base of management consulting talent across relevant areas
  • Keep AFS at the leading edge of business innovation

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Federal Government Consulting experience
  • Defense, IC industry experience
  • 10 + years relevant experience 
  • Prior experience selling and/or delivering Management Consulting services for a management consulting or Strategy firm. 
 
An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
