Application Development Manager – Minneapolis, MN

Job Description:
Accenture LLP seeks an Application Development Manager in Minneapolis, MN to implement Oracle Human Resources (HR) Payroll as well as Finance, Projects, Inventory and Purchasing modules of Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and Vertex tax software. S/he will perform the following duties: analyze current system capabilities and identify changes required to support requirements of proposed business processes; provide solutions for statutory, regulatory, and business process changes in Oracle and Vertex modules and for their integrations with external systems; plan and manage interactions with multiple internal and external vendors and teams; prepare and review project proposals, plans, deliverables, time and cost estimates, delivery schedules, project tasks, planning and sequencing; prepare weekly report and provide status to internal and external leadership team; conduct knowledge transfer sessions to on and offshore testing team members; manage work of team by estimating work load, staffing appropriate team members, transferring knowledge, managing and escalating risks and issues, planning resource growth and providing feedback; increase proliferation of automation in each area and across all applications and modules in the capability; ensure the quality of deliverables for the pre-defined scope within the approved budget and agreed delivery timelines; and monitor solution for issues after production deployment.

Basic Qualifications:

The position requires at least a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering (any), Business Administration, or Accounting, plus 6 years of post-baccalaureate experience in IT or related occupation, including the following professional experience: 1) 6 years utilizing Oracle HR, Payroll and Financial modules such as AP, AR, GL, Inventory, Purchasing, Projects modules; 2) 3 years utilizing Vertex “Sales and Use tax” module; 3) 5 years of Software testing experience including skills related to test design (strategy, approach, scenarios), test management, test data management, defect management, and test metrics design; and 4) 6 years working with accounting, finance, HR, and tax functions to appropriately understand and identify gaps and map the business requirements to the software solutions.
