Job Description

A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:
Provides solutions to complex business problems for area(s) of responsibility where analysis of situations requires an in depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
Involved in setting strategic direction to establish near term goals for area of responsibility.
Interacts with senior management levels at a client and/or within Accenture, which involves negotiating or influencing on significant matters.
Has latitude in decision-making and determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments.
Decisions have a lasting impact on area of responsibility with the potential to impact outside area of responsibility.
Manages
large teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture.

 

Responsibilities of the Michigan Higher Education Senior Managing Consultant may include:

  • Designs and implements process and change interventions that integrate strategy, technology and people to enable improvements that create value for our clients and those they serve.
  • Develops and manages business relationships with senior leaders at existing and prospective client organizations.
  • Uses considerable judgment to adapt existing methodstools and cocreate new ones to develop and implement solutions to our clients problems.
  • Understands the strategic direction set by Accenture senior management as it relates to team goals.
  • Primary upward interaction is with direct supervisor in this case, Accentures Public Sector Client Account Lead for the state of Michigan.
  • Will also interact with peers and.or management levels at client organizations and within Accenture.Manages large or mediumsized teams andor work efforts if in an individual contributor role at a client or within Accenture.
  • Willing to travel 100% in the state of Michigan.

Basic Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in working for or consulting to public sector organizations
  • A minimum of 1 year of higher education experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing consulting projects
  • Bachelor's degree

  • Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Desire to work in an information systems environment
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
