Position Summary
Accenture Technology Marketing & Communications is responsible for developing and managing an integrated marketing strategy to help grow Accenture’s Technology business around the world. The team is responsible for imagining, spearheading and executing campaigns and programs that help create profitable growth and enhance our position as one of the world’s leading Technology companies.  We are looking for a creative, communications professional who can effectively influence and collaborate across Accenture. You must swiftly understand, analyze and communicate the latest technology innovations and trends, and be inspired working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Successful candidates will be experienced in developing and shaping content and packaging messages for external as well as internal audiences.
 
Job Description:
 
Reporting to the Associate Director of executive communications for Technology Innovation & Ecosystems, this position will be responsible for executive communications, internal communications and relevant external marketing activities to advance the business priorities of Accenture Technology Innovation & Ecosystems. The executive communications manager will help key company leaders communicate with external and internal audiences, lead implementation of a strategic communications platforms that advances Accenture’s Technology Innovation business priorities, and provide strategic and tactical communications advice. Thought leadership marketing and strategic positioning development are at the core of this role. Navigating ambiguity with grace and being simultaneously strategic and excellent at execution are critical to success in this role. We are looking for someone who can come up with thought-provoking ideas and create beautiful copy on tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a strong writing background, with a track record of working with senior leaders in the private or public sector. Experience working in technology is highly desirable.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Draft speeches and talking points, messaging, video scripts, blogs and other materials for leaders. Bring strong experience in writing for different formats, mediums and audiences including long-form, short-form; social media, web, video; external and internal audiences among others.
  • Develop compelling narratives and thought leader positioning and continuously look for ways to bolster and innovate on the strategic positioning.
  • Proactively learn and assimilate knowledge about emerging technologies and how they benefit business and society. Quick learner who loves the challenge of synthesizing complex content and turning it into powerful communication messages.
  • Lead curation of social presence for executives and actively identify new ways to amplify and enhance social engagement.
  • Build strong relationships and offer tactical and strategic communications advice to leaders.
  • Work with teams across the company — including media relations, government affairs, regional marketing teams, investor and analyst relations, corporate and internal communications towards strategic profile and reputation building as well as effective content marketing.
  • Develop keynote presentations and videos for external and internal use with proficiency.
  • Jump in on a wide range of communications tasks.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, prefer in marketing & communications, journalism or related. Technology industry marketing experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in marketing and communications, preferably with some experience in the technology industry; experience in applying marketing concepts; branding and message development skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous executive communications experience highly desired.
  • Strong knowledge of innovation, technology content, and the ability to instantaneously absorb and create the new.
  • Demonstrated ability with content development and powerpoint/ visual storytelling skills including synthesizing complex technology topics and writing new pieces.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement and measure multi-faceted marketing plans and programs. 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop content, including synthesizing complex technology topics and writing new pieces.
  • Excellent Digital, Social Media and PowerPoint skills.
Professional Skills:
  • Proven ability to provide deep and original thinking about complex issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to turn complex ideas into stories and visual concepts easily understood by a broad audience.
  • Executive presence, and a strong knowledge of the technology industry and landscape.
  • Strong organization, program management and content development skills, with a demonstrated ability to meet milestones, meet tight deadlines and communicate status on concurrent projects
  • Exceptional communication skills. The ability to present and communicate ideas clearly and persuasively at all levels to multiple audiences.
