Job Description

Sales Execution professionals involve multiple activities like manage sales activities with the objective of creating mutually beneficial, trust-based relationships that create value.

Business Development professionals represent individuals who generate and build client relationships leading to qualified opportunity identification and involvement throughout the sales cycle often in absence of an existing client relationship or opportunity. These individuals are usually primarily accountable for qualified pipeline generation but may also have some accountability for deal closure. Expectation is that close collaboration with client teams and growth platforms occurs throughout this process.

  • Role is responsible for all aspects of the bid from kickoff through to contract signing.
  • You will be responsible for developing comprehensive pursuit plans and ensure that the bid team is staffed, engaged and equipped to fulfill its respective tasks.

Key Responsibilities of Deal Execution / Bid Management Managers: 

  • Initiates and manages the bid specific data repository.
  • Manages the pursuit budget, communications and performance against process milestones. Communicates and reinforces the sales strategy and client requirements to the pursuit team. Educates and coaches the pursuit team on the pursuit and third-party intermediary where applicable processes.
  • Develops and manages the project schedule and formulates the pursuit timeline and reviews gates.
  • These professionals are responsible for contributing to the profitable sales growth of the business by achieving high deal quality. They are focused on complex deal shaping, negotiation or bid management.
  • They work within a well-defined market territory. Individuals in this role will collaborate with Industry Client Account Leads and Account Executives to identify new business opportunities in existing and new accounts.
  • They will provide market analysis, competitive analysis and Go To Market strategy for acquiring new business. Individual ensures all services within the Financial Services portfolio are represented with a clear articulated value.
  • Individuals in this role will work with solution architect and offerings on the above.  

A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:

  • Identifies, assesses and solves complex business problems for area of responsibility, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Closely follows the strategic direction set by senior management when establishing near term goals.
  • Interacts with senior management at a client and/or within Accenture on matters where they may need to gain acceptance on an alternate approach.
  • Has some latitude in decision-making. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
  • Decisions have a major day to day impact on area of responsibility.
  • Manages large - medium sized teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture.

Travel Requirement: 50%

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of client relationship management 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience Deal Execution/Bid Development/Proposal Development and collaboration with Deal/Sales teams working on multi-million-dollar contracts/deals/RFP’s
  • Minimum of 3 years working for a global consulting/professional services firm
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with formal sales methodology and/or formal sales process (e.g. working on final approvals of a global company’s largest and most complex transactions)

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of Financial Services market and industry trends
  • C-level and senior executive client relationship building and relationship management
  • Experience as a Deal Execution/Bid Management/Proposal Management lead working closely with the sales team on large complex, creative, and innovative deals
