The Contract Specialist will work with the Contract Managers on various different opportunities, attend meetings, review Non Disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, solicitations, proposal responses, and other duties as assigned. They are responsible for initiating, tracking and monitoring contract changes, deliverables, correspondence and risks, and maintaining associated documentation.

Contract Specialist will use standardized processes and tools in assisting Contract Managers to blend contract compliance with commercial know-how and practicality and focus on contract compliance and risk mitigation, protecting and enhancing margins.

The Contract Specialist, working with the Contract Managers, will learn to enable the management of government contracts in accordance with company policies and procedures, applicable laws, and customer requirements, as well as, observe and learn the types of on-site advice the Contract Managers provide to Accenture’s business units and project teams on contract management and policy compliance matters.

The Contract Specialist may work with more than one Contract Manager and may assist with more than one engagement or, alternatively, be full-time on a single engagement (depending on the size/complexity of the agreement). The Contract Specialist will assist the Contract Managers with:
  • Responses to inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions 
  • Risks and issues, suggests alternatives that lead to the best solution
  • Reviews and manages contractual obligations of the parties and provides continual review to ensure that all terms and conditions are met
  • Prepares and disseminates information regarding contract status, compliance, modifications, etc. 
  • Responsible for implementation of CM processes
Basic Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • Minimum 2 years of Government Contract experience
  • Knowledgeable about of Federal Government acquisitions
  • Understanding of Government contract types and risks associated
  • US Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Federal government industry experience
  • 3 years of Government Contract Closeout experience
  • Knowledgeable in the Federal Government closeout process and regulations
An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
