Job Description:

 

Marketing & Communications is investing its analytics and insights capabilities.  The Senior Manager, Client Analytics will play a key role in developing insights to understand our clients and identify ways to unlock growth.  In this role, you will be responsible for leading and executing analytics initiatives to generate actionable insights with a focus on client needs and behavior as well as measuring and optimizing for marketing channel effectiveness and business impact.  You’ll be responsible for analyzing and synthesizing insights for key stakeholders as well as working cross-functionally to implement findings.  The Senior Manager of Client Analytics will report to the M&C Data and Analytics lead and work with our Global Marketing & Communications team, CIO Technology team, and external analytics partners and platforms  

 

The ideal candidate will have deep analytics experience, has led B2B analytics teams and understands advanced analytics techniques including modeling, data extraction language (such as SQL) and predictive analytics.  This role requires a strategic and analytical mind with superior communication skills that can deliver “voice of the client” insights to our marketers.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of analysts and offshore team to develop sophisticated analytics solutions, data-driven insights, reporting and data visualization
  • Aggregate and integrate multi-channel data to develop models to predict customer behaviors based on engagement with marketing touchpoints, content and prior sales
  • Leverage customer segmentation, quantitative analysis and data mining to understand client journeys, develop a single view of the customer and personalize client experiences
  • Connect digital analytics with Marketing Automation and CRM to deliver closed loop reporting including client opportunities and revenue impact.
  • Utilize statistical techniques to analyze marketing channel effectiveness and recommend optimal marketing mix and spend
  • Drive and evangelize key performance indicators and success metrics to inform, measure and optimize client marketing strategy and execution
  • Participate as a thought leader to lead large strategic projects from scope definition through to execution and implementation.
  • Collaborate with Data Management and IT teams to define and prioritize data and reporting initiatives.  Design and build dashboards, using data from multiple sources, to provide insights for cross-business stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with Marketing & Communications stakeholders, Sales, and Marketing Operations teams to connect client insights strategy with business opportunities and sales execution.
  • Present and share insights to marketing leadership and stakeholders through meetings and learning sessions.  Educate and train marketing colleagues to embrace analytics metrics, insights and tools

Basic Qualifications:

  • Education: 
    • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree a plus
  • Work Experience: 
    • Minimum of 10 years analytics experience, including 5 years in B2B marketing and experience with CRM databases and data mining
    • Minimum of 7 years of team management experience, large enterprise experience preferred.   

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with driving high impact quantitative analysis leveraging SQL, Access, Excel, data visualization or other tools
  • Strong experience with web analytics tools including Adobe Analytics, DMPs/DSPs
  • Experience in collaborating with BI and Data Management teams on processes and architectures that support analytics needs
  • Demonstrable skills in consulting and partnering with marketing leaders and other stakeholders to uncover business questions and aligning analytics initiatives that deliver insights to inform data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in managing and developing offshore teams

  • Strong analytical mindset and skills, including the ability to break down complex data scenarios into digestible components with the initiative to dig into the "why" of various results.
  • Ability to influence leadership across a large, matrixed organization through relationship-building, strong executive-level presence and deep subject matter expertise
