People in the Corporate Function career track contribute to the running of Accenture as a high- performance business through specialization within a specific functional area, and grow into internally focused roles by deepening their skills and/or developing new skills within an internal functional area.


Finance professionals prepare and interpret financial plans and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable financial rules and regulations, including internal financial controls, to mitigate risk for the company. May also shape and execute client deals to maximize the use of Accenture's capital and resources, manage cash and/or liaise with the investor community.


Job Description:


The digital revolution is transforming the audit profession.   The Data Science Specialist will support the Internal Audit Advanced Analytics team with development of predictive models used to assess risk throughout Accenture and develop more strategic audit plans.  The analytics team will utilize an enterprise level Hadoop platform, including leading analytics tools / technologies to solve complex business problems.   You’ll play a critical role in helping our top leadership tackle complex business issues and identify opportunities to reduce risk.  Join us and become an integral part of delivering valuable insights to the organization and be an agent for change.


While there is never a typical day at Accenture, here is a look at some of the responsibilities of this role:

  • Design and develop state-of-the-art predictive models, using the latest technologies and modeling techniques. 

  • Analyze model results, communicating insights to our stakeholders to generate business value. 

  • Maintain predictive models, evaluating them for relevance, accuracy and changes in key assumptions. 

  • Deliver advanced solutions including natural language processing, machine learning, and network analysis to enhance the Internal Audit process. 

  • Identify opportunities to automate internal auditing tasks with robotic process automation technology. 

  • Support global internal audit teams with ad hoc and customized analytics as needed, to meet business objectives.

  • Work with Accenture business process leads in a consultative capacity, supporting stakeholders in driving value using big data technologies.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience developing and testing predictive / statistical models 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Some knowledge of relevant business operation domains (Finance, Fraud, Source to Pay, HR, etc.)
  • Experience in relevant analytical tools such as Python, Hive, Talend, SQL and / or R
  • Experience working with Hadoop platform components
  • Technical expertise architecting data and creating visualizations in QlikView 
  • Working knowledge of SAP back end data tables
  • Past Internal Audit experience as either an operational or IT auditor 
Professional Skills:
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency with the English language 
  • Ability to think creatively to solve real world business problems
  • Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian
