The Financial Services operating group serves all major industry segments in banking, insurance and capital markets.  The Financial Services North America Banking Client Service Group provides consulting and outsourcing services to retail banking and payments clients throughout the U.S. and Canada.  We serve more than 600 unique clients in 24 countries.  Among our clients are more than 89 percent of the Financial Services companies in the Fortune Global 500.
 
Accenture's North American Banking practice is responsible for driving Accenture's go-to-market strategies and offerings for our US and Canadian clients, bringing our best offerings and leveraging our global banking practices and experience.
 
As a Payments Technology Consultant, you’ll be dedicated to help clients by designing and delivering strategic solutions that achieve compliance, mitigate risks and seize revenue growth opportunities.
 
Key responsibilities of the Payments Technology Consultant may include: 
• Consult and partner with our clients to help them develop high performance solutions to advance their industry position in a wide range of payment methods.
•Integrating, simplifying, and improving technology, platforms and processes across card and core payments as well digital and mobile payments to ensure compliance, reduce risk and costs and improve productivity. These efforts will include AI, intelligent automation and Payments-as-a-service.
•Delivering business change by designing and delivering strategy across the payments value chain and lifecycle (core payments, cards, digital innovation, Digital & Emerging Payments).
•Identify ways that Payments As A Service can both increase operational flexibility, reduce costs, and roadmap for implementation.
•Renewing card issuing processing platforms to support cost efficiency and growth in volumes.
•Delivering product development across all product families (Card, core ACH, Faster Payments) from market demand, technical feasibility business plan and model to delivering go to market.
•Enabling real time payments and developing real time payments architecture.
•Designing strategies for clients to comply with regulations.
•Developing Business Cases, Project Road Maps and Operating Models to implement complex solutions and systems.  
•Synthesizing analyses of the project team into clear, sound recommendations for the client teams to implement.
•Reviewing payments process followed by the clients, and suggesting improvements.
•Adapting existing methods and procedures to create possible alternative solutions to moderately complex problems.
•Developing the Banking Payments practice and building Accenture’s Payment offerings, assets and capabilities.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in one or more specific payment areas in any of the following payment domains:
    • Card: Private label, Credit, Online Debit, Offline Debit, Prepaid, ATM, Acquirer/Issuer
    • Retail:  P2P, Bill Payment, Mobile Payments, Electronic Bill Presentment, Micro Payments
    • Electronic: ACH, Domestic Wire, International Wire, Fedwire/CHIPS, SWIFT
  • Track record of relevant consulting project delivery including managing or creating project deliverables, and managing projects within timelines and budgets
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Payments industry expertise in alternative/emerging payments
  • Understanding of end to end payments lifecycle
  • Business Architecture - Applied in solution planning, and requirements definition and analysis
  • Baseline understanding of the principles of technology
  • Requirements Analysis
  • Functional Design

Professional Skills Required:

  • Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Must be willing to travel up to 80% (Monday - Thursday)
