Business Process Services professionals work on projects across a range of business processes, business applications and information technology. They may provide technology services, such as application management, infrastructure management and systems integration, or they may deliver business process outsourcing services, including finance and accounting, procurement and human resources. Depending on the role, Operations professionals may be based at a client’s office or in one of Accenture’s 50 delivery centers around the world. 


The Position: 


Accenture is seeking an Operations Solution Architect Manager who will have responsibility for understanding and translating buyer requirements into a standard offering deal approach. In addition, Solution Enablement Manager will help support the Solution Architect by providing solution design and solution approval process.  


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 


  • Manage all Operating Group, senior client buyer and functional owner relationships for the designated solution  

  • Drive the necessary sign-off of the solution with proper input from the Operating Groups on client business objectives, industry, risk assessment, budget and preferences   

  • Collaborate as a key member of the sales team to represent the solution offering to the client buyer and other internal Accenture groups  

  • Direct and coordinate with Legal & Commercial and Corporate Transaction Services (CTS) in areas specific to the solution to ensure use of standards  

  • Collaborate with the Operating Groups to provide input to Terms and Conditions and in some cases accountable for specific Outsourcing contractual terms and conditions  

  • Interface with the delivery organization/s to ensure effective transition, shape services, collaborate on clear solution assumptions and determine appropriate service delivery locations  

  • Integrate content from proposal resources; work with details to illustrate compelling story and a winning proposal narrative (including management plans, staffing plans, past performance/experience, transition plans, quality initiatives and other areas) independently and through SME/solution architect interactions  

  • Maintain compliance with requirements, internal Accenture controls, external regulations (e.g., procurement process), and sales methodology  

  • Understand and translate buyer requirements into a standard solution offering deal approach, solution plan, proposal and cost estimate leveraging standard process methods, deliverables and the right collection of offerings  

  • Prepare the BD spend estimate, schedule, work plan, resource/sourcing plan  

  • Understand and clearly define the input required to create cost estimates; Preparing the cost model estimates working with delivery organization(s), Solution Management (if applicable) and CTS to deliver the defined scope of services  

  • Collaborate as a key member of the sales team to represent the solution offering to the client buyer and other internal Accenture groups  

  • Align final solution architecture (including statement of work, schedules and other contractual documents) with final terms and conditions

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree  

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a consulting or professional services firm 

  • Minimum of 2 years in Procurement As-A-Service  

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in business development, sales strategy, and/or proposal development roles 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with outsourcing, Solution Planning/Deal Shaping 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience with data interpretation  

  • Minimum of 7 years of advanced expertise in Excel and PowerPoint 

  • Minimum 3 year of SAP experience 

Professional Skills: 

  • Strategies, Offerings, and Solutions  

    • Good understanding of offering strategy, the standard solution components, the likely adaptations of the solution, as well as knowledge of recent deals/solutions and changes that were made to the standard 

    • Local market knowledge (i.e. “what will work in a particular geography) 

    • Industry acumen (if/how does a solution need to be adapted to address specific industry processes/needs?) 

    • Ability to clearly articulate and "sell" the solution…being able to explain the solution in simple terms…being able to "draw" the solution on a white board in a few minutes in such a way that the audience understands how it works and what the key variables are that will impact the solution cost

  • Business & Commercial Acumen  

    • Commercial acumen – understands the financials and whether a deal can be delivered profitably 

    • Understanding of Cost modeling and strong analytical skills 

    • Delivery Expertise – understands what we can deliver, so it can be shaped appropriately 

    • Detail Oriented – needs to adjust depth of solutions depending upon the audience and the need 

    • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment   

  • Relationship Management  

    • Focused on buyer-value expectations (good listening skills and ability to make client comfortable with solution) 

    • Able to manage the Client Service Group relationship- internal stakeholder management:  makes things happen seamlessly…a top quality architect makes sign-offs/reviews a natural act so that the deal is effectively reviewed as it is built vs. leaving these sign offs to the last minute resulting in everyone feeling pressured 

    • Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment  

  • Proven ability to work independently and as a team member 

  • Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills 

  • Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills

  • This position requires travel of approximately 20%, as needed
