A critical part of the Accounting and Finance organization is the Corporate Development & Transaction Services (CDTS) team, which consists of more than 500 Accounting and Finance professionals worldwide and reports directly to the Accenture CFO. The CDTS team works closely with sales, delivery and legal teams to help shape Accenture’s largest and most complex consulting and outsourcing deals as part of the business development process.  Joining the CDTS team, you’ll incorporate innovative financial solutions and sophisticated pricing and risk management concepts to create inventive deal structures that address both Accenture and client’s business needs. The team also works with Accenture on all inorganic growth: from building new businesses such as joint ventures and alliances to leading our acquisition opportunities from due diligence through post-merger integration.


Job Description:

 

The Corporate Development & Transaction Services Summer Analyst will be part of a structured rotational program which will provide them the opportunity to rotate through multiple industries, offerings, and transaction types and experience all the different facets of CDTS. During the 12-week internship, the CDTS intern will take on the roles and responsibilities of an entry-level analyst. 

 

There is never a typical day at Accenture, but that’s why people love it here! As a CDTS Summer Analyst, you might spend your day: 

 

  • Participate in transaction reviews in advance of signature with Managing Directors of the firm.
  • Develop client budgets and forecasts to create a client baseline and other summary views
  • Assist sales teams in targeting prospective clients, leveraging capital IQ and other publicly available information.
  • Support client business case development to help clients quantify and understand the value Accenture creates.
  • Identify and quantify costs to perform the cost buildup for an individual opportunity
  • Work with Senior CDTS leadership to support complex pricing models
  • Create sensitivity analysis based on cost saving opportunities or other levers within the deal
  • Ensure revenue recognition is US GAAP compliant and Accenture Policies are reflected accurately within the financial models
  • Record, acquire, and maintain all documents supporting the costing and pricing on all new opportunities, including assumptions and version control documentation
  • Participate in a week long case study on Accenture’s mergers & acquisitions strategy and execution
  • Attend a three-day Student Leadership Conference with over 200 other interns from across Accenture’s various roles and offerings

Basic Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics OR Other Business Related major with a minimum of 9 credit hours of Accounting (with a graduation date between December 2019 and May 2020) 
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0

  • Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian
