The lead will serve in analytical and coordination role responsible for measurement of programmatic activities funded by the organization. M&E activities per National Defense Authorization guidance will include measuring outcomes of activities and implementation mechanisms aimed at ensuring that such activities are evaluated as part of an overall assessment of campaigns and portfolios. Below are the requirements for the candidate. The lead will assist senior leadership in managing funds and programmatic impact using quantitative models aimed at estimating the impact of the organization’s activities and outcomes. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in social science, political science, sociology, organizational behavior, psychology or economics or related field
  • 1 year minimum experience in monitoring & evaluation of programs related to aid, non-profit, and international development sectors
  • 2-3 years experience with advanced analytics on foreign affairs related issues
  • Understanding of grants management process
  • Ability to brief mid to senior level officials on difficult to capture and often times abstract measurement variables.
  • US Citizenship Required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge of M&E principles such as establishing baselines, tracking appropriate indicators, stating assumptions upfront, and testing of results through application of scientific methods for measurement.
  • Understanding of survey methodology and design
  • Understanding of cost-benefit analysis for difficult-to-measure variables
  • Deep knowledge and experience in foreign affairs
  • Deep domain understanding of overseas programming
  • Expertise in application of quantitative methods to programming design, portfolio management and M&E

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
