Role Description: Senior Data Scientist
As a consultant working at the Accenture you will work on a team with diverse clients and industries delivering analytics solutions and help clients turn data into actionable insights that drive tangible outcomes, improve performance and help clients lead the market.  This position requires in-depth understanding and use of statistical and data analysis tools.
Key Responsibilities:
As a team member of the Data Science team you will bring your expertise and passion to tackle different analytics problems, living between known state of the art technologies/methodologies and production level solutions.  The Data Analytics team mixes critical thinking and design thinking to build industrialized prototypes using Artificial Intelligence and deliver these solutions to our clients.  You must be able to effectively utilize statistical, data mining, machine learning techniques in delivering advanced analytics and decision support systems.
  1. Business Development and Project Delivery
  • Lead the development of business cases for further project sales as determined by the practice
  • Facilitate the development of “request for proposals” responses and contract development
  • Assume client facing role that interprets and translates client requirements into a workable solution that delivers business benefits
  • Drive the client stakeholder engagement plan to scope the overarching opportunity
  1. Data Science and Project Advisor
  • Work closely with leadership to set strategy and define success criteria for any project
  • Actively structure and drive the executive governance process with the client
  • Drive the integrated value proposition and work with the client to gain alignment and buy-in
  1. Practice and Offering Management
  • Define and articulate how best to tailor analytics offerings to meet market demand
  • Play an active role building a practice including capability development and innovation
  • Work close with practice leads to recruit and train Data Science team members
Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with data analytics, big data and statistical models, including experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with statistical software tools, (SAS, SPSS, R, Python or related software)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with statistical methodologies and concepts and predictive modeling (e.g., AI, neural networks, multi-dimensional statistical models, logistic regression techniques, machine learning techniques such as clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, big data platforms, SQL, etc.)
  • Minimum 3 years of designing algorithms to address technical problems
  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree in data science and related disciplines as data science, mathematics, statistics, operational research, computer science, physics, or related fields. 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical clients and translate business questions into solutions
  • Drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
  • Experience working with and creating data architectures
  • Uses considerable judgment to determine solution and seek guidance on complex problem
  • Knowledge in data extraction methods and analysis of data from enterprise data warehouses and big data platforms
  • Project management and time management necessary to execute the responsibilities and deliver against client expectations
  • Demonstrable experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, and other relevant technical domains
  • Strong proficiency with the Microsoft suite (including advanced Excel skills with embedded Pivot Tables & Macros; advanced PowerPoint usage)
  •  Working knowledge of data querying (e.g. Spark SQL, SQL, Workbench, MS Access) and Ad-hoc Data Analysis, Reporting` Dashboard and Visualization (Tableau, Power BI, Qlikview)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate Accenture AI capabilities, results, concepts and ideas to non-technical business audience.
