Our team helps transform raw data into well-designed, quality data structures to empower the most senior decision-makers. You will work with data on a large scale and collaborate with passionate data engineers and analytic experts. You will have the opportunity to work directly with raw data, design extraction and ingestion techniques, and model data using world class methods. No previous data domain knowledge is required, but curiosity and eagerness to learn are a must. In this role, you will collaborate regularly with other bright data engineers, system architects, and data scientists…Our teams are integrated through Agile principles so collaboration and teaming with your trusted colleagues is essential.


So, what exactly are we looking for you to do with our Analytics team? We want to see you successfully:


    • Design and build robust data pipelines using scalable tools and techniques (yes, we’re talking big data) to produce high quality data structures
    • Implement quicker data processing methods and integrate complex business logic compatible with daily or real-time/streaming frameworks
    • Increase automation and scaling of complex data sets based on the customer’s analytic use case, such as structured data delivery for business analysis, daily extraction of mission enabling data for data mining/exploration, and transforming data for applied intelligence to power impactful data visualizations
    • Create and maintain data warehouse schemas and ETL processes

What are we looking for in an ideal candidate?


    • Strong SQL knowledge and skills as well as familiarity with other distributed data storage platforms such as ElasticSearch
    • Experience supporting development of production ready data pipelines using one or more frameworks such as SQL Server, Spark, Hadoop, or SSIS
    • Must enjoy ownership and autonomy working in a cross-functional teaming environment with multiple scrum teams. We embrace a collaborative and learning culture!
    • Passion and drive to quickly learn in areas that are new
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science, mathematics, business/marketing, information systems, or related discipline OR equivalent experience in related field

  • At least 2 years of ETL development experience with frameworks such as SSIS
  • US Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Kafka, and Storm)
  • Experience documenting and maintaining Data Dictionaries
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask; can set priorities and follow a timeline
  • 1-3 years of data warehouse modeling and development and databases such as SQL Server or Oracle
  • Experience with ElasticSearch
  • Experience with OLAP technologies such as SSAS
  • Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as SSRS and Tableau
  • Experience with visualization frameworks such as D3JS and HighchartsJS
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced, constantly changing environment

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
