Accenture Federal Services is looking for an experienced cybersecurity and data privacy counsel who will support internal and client-facing operations
Our successful candidate will partner with legal, business, and technical leadership to interpret and apply cybersecurity regulations and policy across the company’s operations and lines of business.
Responsibilities include:
  • Manage cybersecurity incident analysis & response
  • Advise on data privacy issues, including GDPR
  • Design and help implement policies, procedures, and tools related to cybersecurity and data privacy
  • Support contracting teams to understand and mitigate contractual and delivery risk related to cybersecurity and data privacy
  • Advise the business on the application of cybersecurity and data privacy considerations to emerging technologies like AI and blockchain
  • Provide strong collaboration with CIO & CISO to anticipate and address cyber threats, risk and compliance
  • Develop and deliver cybersecurity & data privacy training to targeted audiences
Basic Qualifications:
  • 5 years of legal experience
  • 4 years focused experience with cybersecurity and data privacy issues
  • 4 years of experience with cybersecurity regulations applicable to federal government contractors (e.g. DFARS, NIST, FISMA, CUI/CDI, Privacy Act), and US data privacy laws
  • Cyber incident management experience
  • Active member of a state bar
  • Juris Doctor degree
  • US Citizenship
Professional Skill Qualifications:
  • Ability to communicate complex legal issues in an understandable and persuasive manner to technical and business leaders at all organizational levels
  • Ability to work cooperatively as part of a cross-functional team
  • Ability to work effectively in a virtual environment, leveraging telephonic, electronic, and face-to-face communications skills
  • Superior time management and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of federal government contracting regulations and environment (e.g. FAR/DFARS, CICA, bid protest, FCA, NISPOM)
  • Working knowledge of GDPR
  • Experience with internal investigations and litigation/dispute resolution
  • Relevant experience with large law firm or corporate legal department


An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
