As a SAFe Program Coach, you provide guidance, mentoring, and coaching to executives, managers, Product Owners, ScrumMasters, and other Agile transformation stakeholders, primarily on client engagements but also to Accenture|SolutionsIQ colleagues. Drawing from your experience advising organizations, you lead by example and challenge the status quo to promote an environment and culture of continuous improvement, experimentation, and innovation. With your excellent listening, facilitation and conflict-resolution skills, you help organizations achieve their targeted business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor and guide to organizations throughout their Lean-Agile transformation, including the use of scaling frameworks and value stream identification and optimization
  • Work with senior leaders to define strategies and roadmaps for transitioning to Lean-Agile mindsets and practices using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Lead coaching activities, primarily in SAFe, across multiple functional areas
  • Lead workshops & training sessions to educate individuals on Agile values, principles, and practices, in particular as pertains to SAFe
  • Mentor and pair with change agents and stakeholders within client organizations on becoming Lean-Agile champions and developing lasting Agile capabilities
  • Launch Agile Release Trains and help the Program/ART reduce lead-time and improve flow of value
  • Coach and mentor more junior team members on the Accenture|SolutionsIQ team on influencing organizational change and removing transformational impediments
  • Support the internal Accenture|SolutionsIQ Product Development team with refining product and service offerings
  • Provide feedback and ideas concerning opportunities for organizational improvement
  • May be responsible for P&L of an engagement
Contract Type: Full-Time Employment
Required Travel: 80-100%

Basic Qualifications:

  • SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) 4.0+ certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of Agile coaching experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of practical Agile experience 
  • Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education and experience
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working as an external Agile coach/consultant at the program/portfolio level 
  • Experience navigating a consulting engagement, managing customer expectations, and ensuring your work is aligned with the goals and objectives outlined in a statement of work 
  • Experience with solution selling and shaping consulting engagements early in the sales cycle 
  • Verifiable experience teaching all courses and workshops that are part of the Scaled Agile toolkit
  • Excellent skills in pragmatic problem-solving, resolving interpersonal conflicts, and overall helping people communicate effectively 
  • A proactive and empowering nature that makes others want to follow your lead
  • A tacit understanding of when to step in and lead and when to step back and let the team determine the best course of action 
  • Experience with other popular Agile practices and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Lean, Kanban, Extreme Programming) 
  • Technical acumen and understanding of Agile technical practices and how they operate within an Agile organization (e.g., CI, CD, XP, TDD, etc.)
