Applied Intelligence Technical Sales & Advisory Senior Manager
Location: Houston/Dallas/Austin,TX
This role is an integral part of our Applied Intelligence strategy – helping clients to understand value of analytics and the technical capabilities required to achieve it, for example through quickly standing up Analytics Solutions on a hosted Cloud platform.  To delivery analytics and insights that solve our clients business problems and drive value through better decisions and measurable outcomes.  As a Sales & Advisory Lead, you will play a critical role in helping our clients tackle complex business issues. You will develop and deliver analytically-informed, issue-based solutions that help clients make faster, smarter.  You will help answer how analytics can be used to solve their current issues and pain points and bring analytics to life through use cases, demos and client success stories.  Specifically, you will help sell Analytics initiatives that will be delivered as a managed service on Accenture’s Cloud based subscription platform – through Repeatable analytic applications and through Custom BI and Analytics solutions.  You tell the story of how Analytics can be turned on with less effort, at a quicker pace of delivery and more confidence in the results we will deliver to our clients.   You’ll also need to explain to our clients the landscape of technical solutions available.
  1. Sales Origination& Business Development:
    1. Position Accenture as the lead partner for Analytics with our clients
    2. Identify new business opportunities relating to analytics or digital initiatives
    3. Lead the development of businesses cases for further project sales as determined by the practice
    4. Facilitate the development of “request for proposals” responses and contract development
    5. Meet sales targets as determined by the practice
  2. Applied Intelligence Technical Sales Lead
    1. Describe how the Accenture Analytics platform and others can meet a client’s needs – based on the use case
    2. Extensive experience with software and cloud based solutions
    3. In depth understanding of Data security and Architecture
    4. Architect platform components and size the cloud platform components to meet client use cases and needs
    5. Coordinate different groups within Accenture required to propose and estimate the overall solution
    6. Lead contracting activities and coordinate with Accenture’s and client’s legal group
  3. Applied Intelligence Technical Advisory Consultant
    1. Describe the need for a Data & Technology Strategy as part of a broader Analytics Strategy, which typically includes a technology audit, reference analytics architecture, and a plan to delivery it, to address client’s needs.
    2. Experience with presenting recommendations and pros/cons of Architecture and software decisions and choices for data ingestion, data storage, analytics, insight & visualization, and data governance. 
    3. Lead completion of Data & Technology Strategy client deliverables and work product
  4. Applied Intelligence Relationship Management
    1. Serve as a relationship owner to guide the client through the analytics journey
    2. Drive the client stakeholder engagement plan to scope the overarching opportunity
    3. Work closely with leadership to define the success criteria for Analytics projects
    4. Actively structure and drive the executive governance process with the client (VP and above)
    5. Drive the integrated value proposition and work with the client to gain alignment and buy-in
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of Products industry experience
  • Minimum of 5 years working in analytics or related business transformation
  • Minimum of 5 years in strategy or management consulting
  • Minimum of 5 years in a Go To Market role.
  • Meet travel requirements, up to 80% in the southwest region.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technical Science or Analytics related field.

  • Masters or MBA
  • PhD in Analytics, Statistic or other quantitative disciplines
  • Exceptional presentation skills – ability to convey technology and business value propositions
  • Ability to understand and apply statistical methods and outputs to create client value in a business context
  • Experience with evolving approaches and technologies such as Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cognitive Systems, and Robotics

  4. Expertise in Cloud Based solutions and how to scale solutions.
  5. In Depth knowledge of Big Data and Analytics technologies
  6. Understanding of analytics operating models and governance structures
  7. Deep understanding of analytics, including data management, business intelligence, and predictive analytics
    1. Understanding of how advanced data techniques can be applied to solve client problems
    2. Knowledge of big data platforms, tools and applications
    3. Quantitative background/proven problem-solving skills
    4. Understanding of analytics roles and responsibilities (e.g., data scientist)
  8. Deep Industry & Functional analytics experience
    1. Strong industry relevance
    2. Ability to partner with our clients to understand business problems and strategies
    3. Ability to translate business issues into specific requirements to develop analytics solutions
  9. Client Delivery & Relationship Management
    1. Ability to interact with and influence VP and above
    2. Ability to interpret the results of analytical insights and translate results to the client in business context to drive value
    3. Able to explain complex concepts in non-technical language
    4. Strong story-telling ability
    5. Strong Client Presence and presentation skills  - Confident and Energetic.
