Defense Point Security, an Accenture Federal Services company, has an immediate opportunity for a Security Engineer in the DC Metro Area.


Operate, maintain, and deploy IDS and IPS devices

Be a technical resource to support the client's Enterprise Security Operations Center (ESOC) to include engineering support, operations, and maintenance of security tools

Respond and resolve customer support ticket requests relating to ESOC tools

Run vulnerability and patching reports, analyze data, and present findings to client

Practical knowledge of security management processes including, but not limited to, risk management, security planning, IT security control implementation, testing, and logical access controls

Serve as liaison between client and tool support team to resolve issues

Assist with deployment of various security tools through engineering support

Support in areas relating to compliance, assessments, and authorization

Qualifications:

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years of technical experience providing internal/external consulting services to management and technical staff in solving complex information security issues
  • Experience with Linux or Windows
  • Experience engineering with tools such as BigFix, Tenable, WebInspect, DbProtect, RES, and Nessus
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting IDS/IPS devices
  • Strong Network Security background (Firewall experience with Cisco and other firewalls) 
  • Splunk a plus (not required)



An active security clearance maybe required for this role.
