Operations professionals work on projects across a range of business processes, business applications and information technology. They may provide technology services, such as application management, infrastructure management and systems integration, or they may deliver business process outsourcing services, including finance and accounting, procurement and human resources. Depending on the role, Outsourcing professionals may be based at a client’s office or in one of Accenture’s 50 delivery centers around the world.
 
The Network Security Team Lead will lead a technical team and provide engineering support for firewalls and control and monitor local and global networks to maintain established level of services and network security policies. The main tasks will consist in the management and control of the traffic of all networks, management of firewalls, correcting performance of network devices, and supporting issues related with the network and its security.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support metrics for Check Point Solutions on R77 and R80 platform
  • Provide ongoing support to client, performing troubleshooting and resolution of services impacting issues, as well as, applying requested changes and modifications to the existing environment.
  • Must know, understand and follow network management procedures and global security network policies
  • Management and control of network communication lines, firewalls and devices and must have a clear understanding of firewall security as it pertains to the Security Management Architecture
  • Configuration and deployment of network devices; and coordinates the installation and set up by providers of new communication lines/circuits.
  • Identification, prioritization, resolution / fulfillment of network incidents
  • Support and upgrade Smartcenters and Provider-1, as well as support Site-to-Site VPN’s & Client to Site VPN’s
  • Support Check Point VSX firewall virtualization and Check Point Software Blade Technologies and support and implement Firewall security policies
  • Design and perform seamless upgrades of existing Management & Firewall infrastructure remotely and onsite
  • Operate in a team environment as well as self-directed
  • Collaborates with other team members as necessary to ensure customer service levels agreements (SLA’s) are met
  • Execute defined Enterprise System strategies to support corporate initiatives
  • Participate in 24x7x365 technical support rotation
  • Mentor other support engineers on your team
Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Network security operations management.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of varying Network technologies, including, but not limited to Check Point Next Generation Firewalls, F5, Cisco, and Juniper.
  • Should be a Subject Matter Expert of Firewall technologies management at enterprise level (Check Point and Cisco) and additionally at least two of the following technologies.
    • WebSecurity Gateways – Check Point \ Websense
    • Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDS / IPS)
    • Vulnerability Management / Penetration testing
    • Data Loss Prevention – Gateway DLP
  • Advanced level understanding of Check Point FW Platform preferred with Check Point troubleshooting and debugging procedures
  • Expert knowledge of Network Security architecture and expert knowledge on TCP\IP, Routing Protocols, DNS, DHCP, ARP, RARP
  • Solid understanding of virtual router redundancy protocol (vrrp), Cluster XL technology and IP clustering for high availability and Cluster Control Protocol (CCP)
  • Site-to-Site VPN & Client to Site VPN troubleshooting
  • Broad Firewall knowledge a plus (Cisco/Juniper/Fortinet/Palo Alto) and working experience performing Security Assessments a plus
  • Basic knowledge of Unix / Linux operating system administration
  • Basic knowledge of Windows Server 2008 / 2010 administration
  • Basic knowledge of Web Application Firewall (WAF) operation
  • Ability to coach less experienced staff in the supported products and best practice for production support
  • Ability to manage / handle security audits (SOX, PCI, ISO27001)
  • Excellent working technical knowledge of network security controls relating to IPS systems, internet monitoring, vulnerability management, and firewall technologies
  • Knowledge in Security Incident handling and remediation.
  • Should have conceptual knowledge in Authentication, Authorization, encryption mechanisms (Active Directory, LDAP, RADIUS).
  • Expert knowledge of Encryption technologies
  • Analyzing and solving of problems / troubleshooting and assess the impact and risk
  • Understanding of Security frameworks, standards
  • Flexible to work in 24x7 environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel; Word; Power Point).
  • Ability to develop technical documentation, technical communications and project work plans.
  • Ability to facilitate knowledge transfer within team and outside customer groups.
  • Team player who also works well independently; self-motivated.
  • Understand and work with a culturally diverse team.
  • Good knowledge in ITIL processes.
 
Preferred Certifications:
  • CCSE, CCSA, CCNA, CCNA Security, CCNP, MSCE, CEH, CCIE Security, ITILv3 or other security product certifications
  • CISSP, CISM, CCSK is an advantage
