Software Engineering professionals work across the Service Delivery Lifecycle to analyze, design, build, test, implement and/or maintain multiple system components or applications for Accenture or our clients.

The Application Development Assoc Manager develops and designs technologies that improve the way our clients and the world works. Supporting the core of Accenture's Technology business, they are eager to learn and use that curiosity to solve Technology problems through developing, designing, and configuring software products or systems that enable client strategies. They use their versatility and experience to design technology solutions that meet client requirements from analysis to implementation.

Job Description

Java Technology Platform professionals develop application using Java technology. The Java technology platform is a computing environment that allows for developing and executing applications for small and mobile devices (consumer and embedded systems), PC desktops and medium to large businesses.

Java and JVM Languages provide experience and skills using Java and other JVM programming languages to develop and deploy applications. Demonstrate experience with core language features and the Java SE core libraries.

A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:
Adapts existing methods and procedures to create alternative solutions to moderately complex problems. 
Understands the strategic direction set by senior management as it relates to team goals. 
Uses own judgment to determines optimal solution to recommend. 
Primary upward interaction is with direct supervisor or teams leads. Generally interacts with peers and/or management levels at a client and/or within Accenture.
Determines methods and procedures on new assignments with minimal guidance. 
Decisions often impact the team in which they reside and occasionally impact other teams.

Manages medium-small sized teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture.

Developing, designing and maintaining technologies that improve the way our clients and the world works. Supporting the core of Accenture's Technology business, they use curiosity to solve Technology problems through developing, designing, and maintaining software products or systems that enable client strategies. Working in challenging and dynamic environments, they use their versatility to create and support technology solutions that meet client requirements from analysis to implementation.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of large scale software development or application engineering with recent coding experience in two or more of the following languages: Java, JavaScript, C/C++, C#, Objective-C, Node.js, .NET, Python, PHP or Ruby
  • Minimum of 1 year experience Designing and building application using Container and server-less technologies (Cloud Native development)


Preferred Qualifications

  • BS level technical degree or equivalent experience; Computer Science or Engineering background preferred
  • exposure to Agile software development and DevOps practices
  • experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), Tools like Jenkins
  • communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel 100%
