The Microsoft System Center Operations Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the AFS System Center footprint which spans across private and public cloud infrastructure. They will apply application updates, remediate vulnerabilities identified by AFS IT Security, and perform advanced troubleshooting of incidents. In addition to application support they will work in a tandem with engineering to build out provide similar capabilities as part of AFS IT’s cloud infrastructure journey.
Responsibilities also include mentoring junior level team members in expanding their technical knowledge and skills, as well as provide backup support to the Products Team Lead and assist in keeping all service and operational level agreements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of Server Administration, Microsoft Server 2008/12/16
  • Minimum 3 years of Microsoft System Center Operations Manager, Configuration Manager, or Orchestrator
  • Minimum 2 years of MSSQL Server Administration, non-DBA with Transact SQL and SQL Server Reporting experience
  • Minimum 2 years of Microsoft IIS with HTML/5 experience
  • Minimum 2 years of VB and/or PowerShell Scripting
  • US Citizenship required
