Working with little to no supervision to planning and execution of performance testing efforts to ensure reliability and scalability of all systems under test. Support creation of Performance Test Strategy for the program, providing thought leadership regarding testing methodologies. Develop performance test reports and provide application and infrastructure recommended optimizations based on testing analysis.

Other responsibilities include:

• Analyze the application/hardware under test, the performance testing requirements and the project acceptance criteria

• Design test scenario(s) and produce project test plans

• Undertake the initial installation and configuration of the performance testing tool and monitors

• Have expertise in the use of the chosen tool on a variety of platforms and in different technical environments

• Build and test the performance scenario(s)

• Execute the tests, collate results from the performance test tool and produce analysis reports

• Contribute to performance bottleneck identification and resolution

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years experience with a Bachelors' Degree OR 10 years and an Associates' Degree OR 14 years with no degree.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the following:
  • Experience and Strong working knowledge with open source test tools; JMeter experience is a must. (e.g. Selenium, SoapUI, JMeter, JUnit, etc.)
  • Experience and strong working knowledge with Performance Test tools; Loadrunner experience is must. (e.g. Loadrunner, HP Performance center)
  • Experience and Strong working knowledge with Appdynamics, Dynatrace, Application Performance Management
  • Understanding of waterfall and agile frameworks and methodologies, 
  • Expertise in analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving complex performance issues
  • Experience and working knowledge with Relational Database Management (e.g. Oracle, SQL, MySQL)
  • Understanding of Cloud technology (AWS)
  • Knowledge of multi-tiered web-based systems and data-driven applications
  • Experience with Mobile Performance Test (e.g. Perfecto Mobile, Appium)
  • Mobile Performance Test (e.g. Perfecto Mobile, Appium)
  • Relational Database Management (e.g. Oracle, SQL, MySQL)

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
