Job Description

The Data Conversion Specialist will be responsible for processing the data extracts from legacy systems to the cloud. The resource should be able to generate error reports and analyze the root cause of the errors to work with data extraction team for extract modifications. 

The individual is expected to work independently and manage the Mock conversions and Production loads of the following Finance data object conversions: Suppliers, Inventory Items and Balances, Purchase Orders/PO Receipts, AP Invoices, Fixed Assets, Accounts Receivables - Customers, Receipts and Invoices.

The role also involves managing both onshore and offshore resources. Additionally, the individual may work as Conversion lead for specific modules and work with client technical team to correct programmatic issues as they related to the data component files, the client process area leads to correct data issues and validate/reconcile data conversion loads and with the project functional team to correct configuration issues. 

The Conversion specialist will participate in conversion aspects of complex Oracle ERP Cloud implementations and ongoing maintenance. This work will include confirming requirements, and designing the conversion solution, develop scripts when necessary, support testing efforts, provide post-production support, help identify and mitigate risks, and resolve issues. 

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience in Oracle ERP Cloud implementation projects and additional 2+ years experience in supporting Oracle ERP (onpremise) applications. 
  • Minimum 2+ years experience in conversion activities for different Finance modules
Professional Skill Requirements

  • Knowledge of Oracle Cloud ERP processes and data model
  • Should have completed minimum 1 complete Oracle Cloud ERP systems implementation
  • Knowledge in multiple Finance modules
  • Hands-on experience with extracts
  • Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment 
  • Desire to work in an information systems environment
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Willing to travel up to 50% as needed

Preferred Skills

  • Certification in Oracle Cloud ERP implementation
