Operations professionals work on projects across a range of business processes, business applications and information technology. They may provide technology services, such as application management, infrastructure management and systems integration, or they may deliver business process outsourcing services, including finance and accounting, procurement and human resources. Depending on the role, Outsourcing professionals may be based at a client’s office or in one of Accenture’s 50 delivery centers around the world.
The Workplace Services / Desktop Management Architect will work from the Accenture client location and interact with customer on a daily basis. This professional will provide technical leadership in design, development, and testing of Workplace Services (Desktop Management) technologies and actively work to identify repeatable manual tasks which can be automated.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Automate using scripting languages like PowerShell, VB Script, HTML etc.
  • Prepare and present potential technical solutions and advise the client on approach and tradeoffs
  • Lead major transformation initiatives in the organization
  • Work with multiple stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand the complex systems to produce integrated end-to-end solution options
  • Communicate solution approaches to enterprise architects, project teams and other stakeholders
  • Establish the guidelines and processes to conduct design review.
  • Develop the guidelines and processes for documentation, knowledge transfer, and support ownership to ensure sustainable application support.
  • Work on ongoing and new projects throughout project life cycle.
  • Review and recommend improvements within existing technical environment
  • Serve as subject matter expert on entire messaging & collaboration technologies
  • Be on-call for critical issues.
  • Serve as escalation point of contact for off-shore delivery team
Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Workplace Services / Desktop Management (design, development, and testing)
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Workplace Services / Desktop Management (image, patch, compliance)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expert in Desktop Remote Support
  • Expert in Windows 7/8 /10 OS related issues.
  • Strong scripting knowledge (PowerShell, SQL, VB…)
  • Experience on hardware / software certification
  • Expert in Image build, test and deployment.
  • Expert in application packaging, testing and deployment
  • Managing mass software distribution and troubleshooting failed deployments.
  • Managing end to end patching for end user devices at the global level.
  • Application & third-party patching.
  • Ensure that each desktop device is installed with the appropriate desktop image.
  • Monitor security profiles and anti-virus software on all desktop devices and take appropriate action in the event of non-compliance with security requirements
  • Must have experience with tools like Symantec Wise, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, BigFix, Altiris etc.
  • Expert in Active directory and Windows administration @ L1/L2
  • Manage desktop (software and connectivity) incidents through to resolution.
  • Provide standard and approved software (operating systems and standard office applications) support and the remote management of desktop devices using appropriate tools).
  • Support, manage, optimize and maintain the configuration and installation of the desktop, to include, but not limited to, patch updates.
  • Experience in power shell scripting
  • End to end incident, problem management with RCA
