Software Engineering professionals work across the Service Delivery Lifecycle to analyze, design, build, test, implement and/or maintain multiple system components or applications for Accenture or our clients.

The Scrum Master Specialist are agile experts, they empower teams to collaborate and make effective decisions promoting adaptive planning, evolutionary development, early delivery and continuous improvement. Acting as SCRUM Master, they encourage rapid and flexible response to change ensuring stakeholder satisfaction and return on Investment. Serve as functional or client needs expert for projects. Complete project management activities according to defined service level commitments and process compliance guidelines.

Job Description

  • Ensure team compliance with agile scrum framework/ADM
  • Facilitate process activities of Agile software development/scrum encouraging and supporting the teams to self-manage their iterations using a servant-leader management style
  • Train others in the Scrum Framework
  • Remove barriers to effectiveness
  • Manage external tasks
  • Overall sprint and data management for the project
  • Tracks team capacity and velocity metrics for planning purposes
  • Ensure self-organized team's continuous improvement – Monitor and coach
  • Serve as communication liaison between the team and Product Owner, Program Manager, and Stakeholder
  • Develop people through coaching and by fostering a positive work environment
  • Schedule, plan and facilitate collaboration per the Scrum framework, daily stand-up meetings, regular iteration reviews and planning meetings between the team, Product Owner, and stakeholders
  • Schedule and facilitate regular team retrospective meetings per the scrum framework
  • Work with the Product Owners to identify that the product backlog is in place and ranked/ groomed to the appropriate level to start and continue development iterations
  • Challenge the team to implement team operational improvements.
  • Encourage and instill process improvements
  • Ensure that identified agile software progress metrics are in place and that the team and product owner are enabled to input data for said metrics.
  • Responsible for collating and preparing metric data on a regular basis using repeatable methods
  • Assist self-managing teams to coordinate resources and accepted work
  • Monitor the team's work flow
  • Assist the product owner in maintaining a product strategy/roadmap, including competitive and market positioning
  • Facilitate ADM/ Scrum Framework process compliance inspections and artifact creation and inspections.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2 years experience as a Scrum Master
Preferred Skills
  • Certified scrum master
  • 2 years of experience with Agile Methodologies
  • Bachelors degree 
  • SAFe background
  • Hands on experience on agile flavors such as SAFe, Scrum and Kanban
  • Knowledge about CI, DevOps TDD BDD practices. 
  • Attlassian tooling suite background (i.e. Jira and Confluence)
  • IT/software process improvement experience
  • Development or test experience
  • Experience managing teams
  • Leadership experience within an agile software development team
  • Experience managing multiple Agile teams (i.e.scrum of scrums)

Professional Skill Requirements

  • Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment 
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Desire to work in an information systems environment
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
