The Hybrid Cloud Automation Lead will have 10+ years of experience delivering IT programs ensuring the implementation of quality controls, metrics, and measures ensuring timely delivery of contract deliverables.

The Hybrid Cloud Automation Lead provides leadership and technical oversight over planning, designing and developing of hybrid cloud service orchestration and automation solutions for cloud services to the Office of Information and Technology (OIT).   The Hybrid Cloud Automation Lead will lead a team a cross functional team of orchestration, automation, and service integration practitioners to develop full end-to-end automation solutions for automating the provisioning, configuration, maintenance, and pro-active remediation of cloud services residing in AWS and on private cloud.

 


Responsibilities:

 

·         Collaborate with and provide technical leadership to Office of Information Technology (OIT) IT for designing, architecting and deploying tools for the automation of end-to-end cloud automation services within hybrid-cloud environment

·         Develop strategies, identify requirements and define specifications for automation systems

·         Manage complex projects and provide technical leadership for all automation projects for cloud orchestration, automation, and service integration.

·         Provide advanced technical programming guidance for developing automation solutions based on best practices

·         Design and architect solutions in collaboration with cross-functional engineering, infrastructure, and operations teams

·         Work with cross-functional team to design and implement redundant and survivable networks and monitoring systems in accordance with disaster recovery and emergency planning teams

·         Provide advanced troubleshooting assistance and routinely collaborate with cross-functional teams on operational issues, projects, and initiatives

·         Research emerging cloud and automation trends and provide recommendations for future expansion and improvements to networking and monitoring systems

 


 

 Basic Qualifications:Over 10 years of experience and both a B.S. and M.S. degree. Bachelor of Science (BS) can be substituted with an additional 4 years of related experience, and a Master of Science (M.S.) can be substituted with an additional 2 years of related experience.
 
-  5+ years of technical leadership experience
-  3+ years experience architecting, designing, building, and securing AWS cloud computing environments both public and private
-  3+ years experience with providing automation solutions in a medium- to large-sized private and/or public cloud infrastructure environments
-  2+ years of experience with automation design patterns and tradeoffs
-  2+ years of experience with HP server automation tools (orchestration and server automation)
-  Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-  AWS Certified Architect
-  ICAgile Certified Professional (or equivalent)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

- Azure Certified Architect
- VMWare Certified Architect
- Experience with Cloud Broker solutions such as CloudForms
- Familiar and/or proficient Business Intelligence and AI Techniques and methodologies
- ITIL Certified
- Experience with Ansible or similar automation tools

             

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
