Key Responsibilities
The Data Architect:

  • Utilizes experience with database architect to design and find innovative ways to accomplish tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously and independently
  • Works with appropriate teams to effectively source required data and communicate the findings to business stakeholders and clients
  • Creates data architecture design for analysis as well as defines data sources, data integration and data automation strategy
  • Works with multiple data platforms and creates data integration design
  • Creates and designs data integration scripts
  • Creates complex scripts for data extraction and manipulation involving multiple data platforms
  • Works on open source data architecture scripting platforms
  • Works with product and engineering teams
  • Designs database to store large data sets with proper index and key combination to provide speedy delivery of data to clients/end users

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of Master’s degree OR a Bachelor’s degree with an additional 2 years of professional experience
  • Minimum of 4 years professional experience in data architecture design and data integration
  • Minimum of 4 years coding experience with both SQL and R/open source platform coding
  • Minimum of 4 years database design technique and dimension modeling experience
  • Minimum of 4 years big data modeling experience (i.e. Hadoop, Pig, Scala, Spark)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the technology, digital and/or internet industry

Professional Skill Requirements

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact with business stakeholders and discuss data topics
