Job Description
  • Provide development proficiency for large-scale implementation and support of (SampleManager) LIMS
  • Provide lead support management for the global, regional or strategic local implementation of (SampleManager) LIMS
  • Develop and manage new enhancements and bug fixes including hands on programming in VGL and .NET
  • Provide development support and maintenance of certain master data
  • Create, execute and oversee execution of test cases and test scripts including unit, integration, system and acceptance testing before general release
  • Random testing of enhancements to processes, interfaces, reports, and application functionality
  • Generation and maintenance of technical documentation, to include requirement specifications, design specifications, functional specifications, SOP's, test plans and protocols, test cases/scripts, traceability matrices and validation reports
  • Responsible for planning and conducting training related to LIMS application functionality
  • Develop and support LIMS reporting requirements and related systems
  • Prepare and maintain hardware and software for global or site installation
  • Support instrument integration development and mapping requirements
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on all software and systems
  • Assist and implement major upgrades, migrations and expansions
  • Monitor system performance management and capacity planning
  • Proactively seeks ways to cut costs and better leverage IT systems
 
Technical Requirements:
 
  • Understand Business and User Requirements
  • Identify solutions that provide a range of configuration and/or customization options, with well-articulated pros and cons.
  • Ability to identify, design and execute migration strategies to newer versions of SampleManager LIMS
  • Ability to identify, design and execute interfaces to and from Enterprise Application Software (ERP, MES, CRM, BI, etc.)
  • Ability to identify, design and execute integrations to and from laboratory instrumentation
  • Desire to lead technical teams
  • Ability to develop custom solutions with VGL and .NET

  • Strong logical / analytical thinking
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
