Great outcomes are everything. It's what drives us to turn bold ideas into breakthrough solutions that solve the toughest problems fast--the first time. So you can change how people work and live.

The AFS Adversary Research and Reconnaissance Team provides full spectrum cyber operations capabilities to the federal government.  We hunt down advanced adversaries on our federal customers’ networks, enhance their defenses through advanced cyber threat emulation and red team tactics, and develop world class capabilities to arm their operators in battling this nation’s adversaries across the globe.

You will be great in this role if you want to develop full-spectrum capabilities for Windows, Linux, Mac OS, iOS, and Android  operating systems. Develop software within current computer and network security practices and research, to include exploit mitigation techniques, secure coding practices, and security auditing. Develop low-level capabilities across one or more operating systems and architectures. Use customized tool-chains, build environments, test environments, and the latest productivity and development applications. Apply network programming and protocol analysis experience to build innovative products.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 years experience with one or more operating system internals, network programming, and protocol analysis
  • 5 years experience with software development experience in assembly, C/C++, and high-level languages such as Python
  • 3 years experience debugging with one or more tools: Windbg, GDB, lldb, or Immunity Debugger and developing unit tests (Google Test)
  • 3 years experience with software analysis tools such as IDA Pro
  • Current U.S. Citizenship
  • Experience working with a distributed team
  • Familiarity with multiple tool chains and cross-compilation
  • Continuous integration and testing experience (e.g. Jenkins/Chef)
