The Federal Accounting Senior Analyst will serve as a member of a large project team and will support the client's financial improvement and audit compliance goals through a variety of work streams. The team member will be required to possess and/or build a working knowledge of financial management and accounting business processes to support our client in achieving financially sound, improved business processes.  Candidate will be heavily involved in designing and implementing financial controls for the client's Management's Internal Control Program (MICP), in accordance with OMB Circular A-123, as well as change management communications and trainings for the client community to adopt the new processes.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting 
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in federal auditing or consulting in an accounting related project in the federal space
  • Minimum 1 year experience designing, implementing, or testing financial controls for a MICP program related to OMB Circular A-123
  • Minimum 1 year experience on a project working with the standards outlined in the GAO Green Book
  • CPA Candidate

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with change management, marketing, or executive level communications
  • Self-driven, willingness to learn, and able to develop relationships with client personnel
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member
  • Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
  • Good understanding of auditing procedures or audit readiness activities (FIP, FIAR, FSTAR) for a DoD agency
  • Working knowledge of GAAP, GAGAs Yellow Book, or GAO Orange Books
  • Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
