Job Description

Industry Applications-Resources professionals design, implement and deploy packaged software solutions that have been developed to accommodate unique industry business and management processes, regulatory requirements and other business needs which cross multiple industries.

Resources Industry Applications professionals analyze, design, build, test and deploy innovative Resources industry-specific solutions - including solutions for the Chemicals, Natural Resources, Energy and Utilities industries - that enable industry standards and processes.

A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities: Adapts existing methods and procedures to create possible alternative solutions to moderately complex problems. Understands the strategic direction set by senior management as it relates to team goals. Uses considerable judgment to determine solution and seeks guidance on complex problems. Primary upward interaction is with direct supervisor. May interact with peers and/or management levels at a client and/or within Accenture.  Determines methods and procedures on new assignments with guidance. Decisions often impact the team in which they reside. Manages small teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture.


Job Description

  •  Deliver Customer Transformation projects
  •  Lead and manage teams during the project delivery
  •  Interact with clients and focus on meeting or exceeding their expectation
  •  Support sales opportunities (RFPs or sole sourced)
  •  Actively contribute to recruiting of additional talent to our Accenture            Energy Consumer Service (AECS) Industry Consulting practice
  •  Actively contribute to our AECS Industry Consulting offerings and assets
  •  Weekly travel Monday through Thursday

Basic Qualifications

  •  Experience in: Customer Service project delivery / Customer Transformation project delivery
  •  Deep skills in included required skills
  •  Ability to meet travel requirements  
  •  Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Sales and/or Service Transformation      programs
  •  Minimum of 4 years of consulting experience
  •  Minimum of 4 years of project management experience
  •  Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the utilities industry
  •  Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Utilities Customer Care Experience - operations or consulting
  • Functional and/or Technical Experience with CRM / Customer Care with focus on business process improvement and/or supporting technical solutions (e.g. in the contact center, back office and strategic departments of a retail utility)
  •  Experience with / understanding of smart grid impacts on CRM / Customer Care
  • Experience with utilities value levers (operational and strategic)
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to develop road maps, strategies and also lead defined projects to design, "build", and implementation
  • Deep expertise in problem solving and structuring, (logical and analytic capabilities)
  • Significant experience with resolving issues associated with improving operating and strategic performance
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to timelines and budgets
  • Demonstrated ability to 'get stuff done' in a short period of time at high quality
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse set of team members through projects
  • Demonstrated ability to build, extend and maintain senior client relationships
  • Strong executive presence and client building / influencing skills
  • Exceptional communication and team building / mentoring skills
  • Project financials acumen
