KEY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
- Designing in Java & J2EE technologies based on knowledge of Object Oriented Programming, Database Programming, Web Programming and GUI Development

- Working with the client's application development and support teams to design, develop, and support application technical solutions.

- Collaborating with the client's business owners to identify desired functionality, business requirements, and business use cases

- Driving quality assurance, code reviews, testing of application modules, and delivery methodology processes to ensure delivery and client

- Leading software development estimation efforts and reviews

- Developing a project plan, authoring status reports and resolving issues and risks proactively

- Communicating effectively with team members and clients to gain the required knowledge to perform these tasks

- Defining and establishing development architectures, which includes automated and continuous build capabilities

- Performing technology architecture design activities, portions of technology build, test and implementation activities, refine and enhance architecture and framework, as well as troubleshoot and debug technology integration problems.

- Assisting in project selection of framework and third party architecture and integration frameworks, taking into consideration all relevant requirements, project scope and feasibility concerns

- Designing and developing proof of concepts as needed, integrating new components with back office systems during the design and requirements phase to evaluate products and integration strategies

- Leading a team or direct and indirect reports for project software delivery, quality and completeness

- Working with remote team members or clients

- Documenting and delivery personnel feedback assessments and reviews

- 100% US travel (Monday-Thursday) required with potential to stay Friday depending on project need

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4+ years custom development experience with Java, J2EE, JSP, HTML, or JavaScript or languages

- 4+ years of application architecture experience, such has Single page apps, api architecture, modern web design, or equivalent experience

- 2+ years of experience with DevOps tools such as git, GitHub, Jira, Phabricator, Jenkins, or equivalents

- 3+ years of agile development experience


PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Experience in software frameworks such as Spring, Struts, and Hibernate

- Experience in technologies such as Servlets, Enterprise Java Beans (EJB), Message Driven Bean (MDB), JDBC, JNDI, JMS

- Application design and development including Responsive Web Applications with deep expertise in one of the following technologies – Backbone.js, AngularJS, and React

- Experience with various software development methodologies such as Agile

- System testing and validation experience

- Build and migration experience

- Technical deployment and roll-out support
