So much of my role is about collaboration and teaming. We all learn from each other and, even though career opportunities may beckon, I enjoy keeping in touch with my network of friends and former colleagues who have worked with me to make tech happen.

It’s one of the reasons I'm looking forward to joining the next episode of Microsoft Envision, a digital event series hosted by Microsoft with Accenture and Avanade. I’m excited to reconnect with my predecessor as Chief Information Officer of Accenture, Andrew Wilson—now Microsoft's Chief Digital Officer—and a whole host of other global thought leaders in an episode that promises to answer the question “How can we accelerate innovation?”

Now in its second season, Microsoft Envision is a forum that explores with business leaders how to tackle some of the biggest challenges and opportunities facing organizations today. Speakers so far this year have included former PepsiCo chairman and CEO, Indra Nooyi, tennis icon Billie Jean King and Reid Hoffman, tech entrepreneur and cofounder of LinkedIn.

Episode 4 will air in the Americas on Tuesday, April 12 and re-air in the Asia Pacific region as well as Europe, the Middle East and Africa regions on Wednesday, April 13. During the broadcast, Andrew and I will discuss the many priorities IT leaders are juggling in this uncertain time and key emerging technology trends for driving organizational change. We’ll also draw on the fascinating insights of speakers, such as:

Vasu Jakkal, Corporate Vice President of Security, Compliance, and Identity at Microsoft, talks with other tech leaders about how their organizations have adopted a "zero trust" approach to protect against cyber threats while continuing to innovate on behalf of customers.

Nikhita Singh, Cofounder and Chief Product Officer of the startup Artificial, shares perspectives on leadership, innovation and the future of artificial intelligence (AI) in a segment with Michelle Gonzalez, Corporate Vice President and Global Head of M12, Microsoft's venture fund.

Andrea Egeskog, Sustainability Lead at Volvo Cars, chats with Avanade Chief Technology Officer Florin Rotar about how Volvo's innovative spirit is helping the company pursue its sustainability goals.

• Accenture Chair and CEO, Julie Sweet, engages with Bob Iger, former Chairman and CEO of the Walt Disney Company as he offers lessons he learned during his time at Disney and describes how organizations can foster a culture of innovation and turn that into a competitive advantage.

I’m sure you’ll agree, these conversations are not to be missed so I’m looking forward to seeing you there. To register for free, or to watch on-demand clips from previous episodes, visit envision.microsoft.com.
