How OCI heightens intelligence

We see heightened intelligence as the ability to infuse data analysis throughout the organization to make better business decisions and create a competitive advantage. Enterprises succeed fast when they can quickly test new ideas simultaneously and invest in what works – or pivot from what doesn't.

Enterprises that invest in the employee data journey with tools that can empower users at all skill levels, ultimately increasing user affinity and engagement. The most advanced chief financial officers also use internal and external data and proprietary algorithmic models to better understand the leading indicators of demand – such as analyzing consumer search trends and transaction data to forecast potential demand – well ahead of when these indicators appear in company P&Ls. As product cycles are compressed and customer demand varies, heightened intelligence enables new services and products to be rapidly introduced to the market – all enabled by unified data flows and advanced analytics.

Oracle has created a modern data foundation with solutions that can more easily extract value from data. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) helps enterprises marry their data, interrogate it with advanced analytics and machine learning tools, and democratize its access among a wider pool of employees.

With AI and analytics built in, Oracle Autonomous Database automates the full database management lifecycle, including provisioning, security, performance, change management and error prevention, all with lower ongoing maintenance. Autonomous Database, combined with Oracle Analytics Cloud and other OCI data-centric platform services, enable technical and non-technical users to create data sets and analyze results with visualization and machine learning techniques.

Oracle built all of these capabilities on the same cloud, with always-on security, leveraging similar skillsets to help organizations heighten their intelligence. With so much valuable data gravity already happening on Oracle, why would enterprises invite risk and complexity to move it to another cloud for analysis? The flexibility and scalability of OCI fits seamlessly into an organization's enterprise data strategy, from powering a single use case to solving for enterprise-wide data needs.

How enterprises heighten intelligence

To appreciate the potential of heightened intelligence, enterprises should look no further than their own workforces. Most enterprises have reviewed demographic employee data for years, but few have had tools to help them take action to boost inclusion and diversity. Based on Accenture's own diversity efforts, we built the Accenture Workplace Accountability Resource Experience (AWARE) module. AWARE is powered by OCI to help enterprises use discovery, comparative and predictive analytics to track and measure diversity efforts. Leveraging OCI enables our clients to deploy AWARE quickly and make a meaningful impact on their workforce, regardless of their current Human Capital Management platform.

In another example, a hospitality company with multiple brands wanted to decentralize and democratize its data. Accenture helped to build a dashboard that was rolled out to every HR leader in each global location. Those HR leaders use the dashboard to assess data for their properties to optimize the employee experience. The insights at their fingertips reduce time to action and allow them to be more proactive in managing the employees.

In the public sector, a Midwestern state, runs many core functions on an Accenture application that was moved to OCI two years ago. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the state was able to react to rapidly changing business challenges by initiating a lightweight analytics solution in OCI. They analyzed caseload, call center and benefits data from disparate sources and reacted in real time to skyrocketing demand for social service programs. The state will use this foundation to further mine and analyze its data to manage social service programs post-pandemic more proactively. That’s heightened intelligence.
