To Accenture, digital is more than just a term. It defines the way we work – and using digital technology is just one of the ways we can help protect the environment in which we live.
Accenture uses digital technology to serve clients across more than 120 countries. Through utilizing digital means, such as videoconferencing, webcasts, virtual learning and our internal networks, we have developed a largely virtual business, with company leaders and employees spread throughout the world. As a result, the focus on digital will help us reduce our carbon emissions against our 2007 baseline by more than 50 percent by 2020.
In a recent article, Moving Ideas, Not People, Accenture Chairman & CEO Pierre Nanterme shares details about our focus on sustainability and our commitment to working with other global business and government leaders to help turn policy into result-oriented action. According to Pierre, there is no shortage of innovation and technology to address climate change.
