In this blog, Ayano explains how Accenture Technology enables her to combine her passion for technology with her interest in diverse cultures.
I joined Accenture 12 years ago because I knew they would provide opportunities for me to pursue my interest in diverse global cultures, and I haven’t been disappointed. I’m developing an app to help users manage their health by tracking data around the meals they eat and the amount of sleep they get. My team is comprised of Accenture people in Tokyo, Japan, and Dalian, China. We generally stay in touch via Skype, but sometimes travel for in-person meetings. When we can, we try to add excursions on the weekends or dinners out together so we can share ideas and socialize.
It’s this kind of diversity and camaraderie that make Accenture so appealing to me. Because there are so many talented people in Accenture Technology, we all benefit individually. I have access to colleagues in different countries, so I can always find someone with the knowledge I need.
In addition to learning from colleagues around the world, I get the chance to grow and learn about emerging technologies. Right now, I’m looking forward to working with Fintech, AI and IoT, as these technologies have the capacity to change our lives.
