If anybody asked me a year ago how my career was going, I would have said, “It’s pretty good.”
But “pretty good” wasn’t good enough, and I’ll never regret my decision to leave that company and join Accenture.
I now realize how regular and routine my daily work was. It left little room for creativity and real-life problem solving—essential for both business and personal growth.
Working at the center of the tech revolution
One reason I joined Accenture was to fulfill my curiosity and deep interest in new technologies like artificial intelligence, blockchain and virtual reality. I wanted to be part of the technological revolution that’s disrupting traditional ways of doing business. I’m happy to say that I’m right in the middle of it.
Life as a technology consultant at Accenture is incredibly exciting. My mind is constantly stimulated and pushed to its limit. Just when I think, “That’s it! I can’t go any farther,” Accenture’s global network helps me unlock even greater potential than I knew I had.
There’s always someone to collaborate with in our many teams across the globe, to help address our clients’ toughest challenges. This agile way of working allows us to deliver innovative solutions quickly and efficiently. There’s no such thing as a challenge that’s too big to solve.
My current project involves helping clients transform and manage their businesses in the cloud. This also means I get to propose innovative new methods that can enable our clients to do business better. Some of these methods include robotic process automation. This basically means we introduce tools that free humans from doing manual, repetitive, high-volume work, so they can focus on more creative, meaningful tasks.
The possibilities are vast within the organization. I was super excited when a leading global producer of 3D-enabled and immersive product content that is popularly known for its award-winning work on the visual effects for "Game of Thrones" became part of our company. You never know when your project will require you to collaborate with some of these amazing teams.
Learning, working and playing
In my spare time, I feed my curiosity by programming. I code for fun. I’m also pursuing a master’s degree in Digital Business Management. This program allows me to combine my industry knowledge with the latest research in enterprise architecture, digital strategy and lean startups.
It’s all really awesome. Because my work and play complement each other so well, I literally get to play at work.
