As one of the top graduate MBA programs in the world, INSEAD was a natural partner for Accenture Strategy when we sought to create a world-class student immersion program. Designed as a pathway to prepare the best MBA talent for today’s complex and volatile business environment, the program allows students to explore what it’s truly like to work for Accenture.
In a recent interview, INSEAD student Kaushik Subramanian shares his experience with the program and discusses how he and eight of his classmates had the opportunity to not only work with our client and partner, the World Economic Forum, but also attend the annual summit in Davos, Switzerland. He describes the process as being “put into a pool and having to learn how to swim.” Despite the steep learning curve, he and his teammates had a team lead from Accenture who provided guidance and helped point them in the right direction when needed.
In Davos, Kaushik and his team were also able to network with people from around the world. He recalls having access to top Accenture professionals – and meeting world business leaders such as a Saudi prince and the owner of India’s number one investment bank while seated next to them on a shuttle bus.
Of his experience at the WEF summit this January, Kaushik shares: “The three days at Davos were filled with Accenture events, WEF sessions, lots of networking and little sleep. ‘Surreal’ would be a good adjective to define the overall experience, and we came out of the project wiser, smarter and definitely more enlightened!”
