At Accenture, we look forward to HIMSS—and not just as a sponsor. It’s one of the most well-attended conferences in any industry, bringing together the best thinkers from across the healthcare landscape. But this year, HIMSS will showcase an industry in transition, and an inflection point in federal health. As we look to a new era of transformation, HIMSS17 is an opportunity to forge connections and position AFS at the heart of a revolutionary change occurring in federal health.

Accenture’s unique strengths will be highlighted at HIMSS17 with our insight-driven, secure health strategy. We are an industry leader helping clients pivot to digital, patient-centric and value-based care—and our commercial and federal messaging will reflect our citizen-centric focus.

Citizen-centric care means delivering health and—when you need it—healthcare. For 5,000 years, the masses have traveled to the few for health. We’re inverting the model with our connected, insight-driven, citizen-centric vision. We’re pulling solutions from adjacent industries into health and wellness, including interactive, mobility, analytics, cloud and security, with innovations like blockchain wrapped around patient-generated data. We’re helping HHS/CMS, Social Security, ONC, FDA, DoD and VA innovate and transform. And we’re bringing readiness for those who serve and our citizens at home.

HIMSS brings together leaders from all these areas, creating opportunities for deeper conversations around critical national priorities.

I’m looking forward to having these conversations with clients, industry leaders and federal partners to forge connections that can help bring the future into sharper focus. For instance, how do we best connect the federal and the private sectors to create a seamless patient experience between Department of Defense, Veterans Affairs and private sector providers? Between these organizations and Social Security? How can we ensure seamless continuity as administrations change and care plans evolve?

I’m also looking forward to seeing Gus Hunt, Accenture Federal Services’ Cybersecurity expert and former CIA CTO, speak about the cyber-future in healthcare. I recently spoke with Gus and some of Accenture’s leading thinkers in federal health about their goals for HIMSS17. Hear what they’re most excited about in the video clip above. I hope to see you there.
